I just want to thank you for the chuckle! HAHAHA valid question. But all I can picture is you drinking the whole bottle by yourself at the table, what a lush! I rarely go through here and laugh...I needed that thank you!

Anyone with a booked excursion....This Labor Day weekend make sure you call RC and get your excursion at the current price. I had to cancel what I booked...and re-book under the cheaper price. It was so worth it!

Thanks! I super appreciate your honesty!! We only bought one small thing from grand cayman last time we were there because there wasn't a whole lot. I was expecting a lot more options. I love the shopping at Cozumel and Jamaica, I was hoping we just missed something at Grand Cayman! Thanks for your honesty!
No problem. A fun shirt to buy in Grand Cayman is the "Ive been to Hell" shirt...there's a place in GC people venture off to called hell....not much there. Were doing the Cozumel and Jamaica run too...In October...leaves on the 8th. You? Cozumel and Jamaica are my favorite stops!

Any suggestions on shopping in Grand Cayman? I'm not looking for anything crazy. Just more than what's at the port. Last time we went there wasn't much shopping directly in the port.
I dont mean to sound like a smart a** but I wouldn't do any shopping in Grand Cayman...Save your money for the other ports. This is my least favorite stop as the prices are ungodly! You dont get any deals....and everything there is at other stops....Maybe a shirt that has grand Cayman on it.....but that's it. NOTHING is cheap there.

You are not charged a cork fee if you open it in your room. I open it in my room and take a full glass to dinner every night.

* times on Carnival, 6 times on Royal. I like Royal better MDR and the overall experience...the only thing I liked better on Carnival is the fun snacks- a FEAST- at night on Carnival. Haven't found that yet on Royal if they have it.

I do think that MSC cruises never charge for children in the same room as adults.

And that's why we left the kids at home until they were about 10. Babies are no fun for mom...leave them at home and really enjoy a vacation

Nassau Bahamas is nasty. You can only walk on the first 2 streets parallel to where you port is what they all tell you when "leaving" the port area. We knew this in advance, so we took an excursion on a boat, then walked the area close to the port afterwards. If I never went there again I'd be happy. Id rather go to Jamaica or Cozumel any day. Another fun one, believe it or not is Progresso

There are some decent hotels not far from the port. But the port is not near the airport so it isn't a quick or cheap taxi ride.
The easiest way, and most fun way, is to just stay at the Embassy Suites right there by the airport. Free happy hour and breakfast- then schedule your shuttle (during the room booking) for the next day to the cruise ship pier. That's what we do.

I've sailed out of Miami and Galveston. Love both of them. Never a line or any trouble. Miami is nice because we stay at the Embassy Suites and they take us to the port. I also like Galveston, as we stay at the Days Inn and just take a taxi to the port
-
Some do, some dont. You have to call and ask, and tell them youre reserving the shuttle....I am staying at the Days Inn and will grab a taxi for $20, even the taxi fee still is cheaper than all the other hotel prices.

school IDs are okay as long as the current year is on the school ID AND it is from a state public school

We always made reservations the day before, or the evening before. We always knew the nexct night how many we were gonna have. We always just wing it the first evening. The sooner you book the dining the better.....whether its the night before or early the morning of. Ive never booked online before we were on the ship, no.

Never had a problem. The gentlemen at the front looking to seat you and take reservations are very accommodating.

I would expect my ports of call to be changed. You will go to different places.
