  1. Is anyone else having this problem?  I called NCL to cancel my cruise after reading on USA Today that they changed their final payment policy for June/July cruises to due 90 days out.  I am currently 93 days out and just tried to cancel my June cruise sailing out of Rome.  The "supervisor" told me that there was a freeze on cancellations and there was nothing she could do for me, and to call back on Tuesday... this puts me at 89 days out from the cruise.  So basically, they are holding my money and will not cancel my cruise before the 90 days because they want to keep part of my money since they're telling me they will not cancel my cruise at all until 89 days out.  This is ridiculous!  I should be able to cancel my cruise any time I want... refunds aside.  I was going to rebook this cruise in a year or two, but now... there is ZERO chance of me EVER using NCL again.

  2. Yes, I've read about all the different ways you can get there... train, cab, metro, bus, private excursion, hitchhiking, etc.   This will be my 5th cruise, I know all the pitfalls of the dreaded ship's excursions.  It's a shuttle transfer... Been on several of those... My original question stands... Which entrance does the shuttle drop you off.  I'm not interested on everyone else's takes on the hows and whys of each way to get there.  Just want to know where it drops me off.   Thank you for trying to help me out though.   I think I'll just give up on here and go dig deeper on other websites.

  3. Because this is the first time I'm traveling with two 70+ travelers who have never been anywhere outside of the USA.  I'm not interested in alternative options to save a little on money or time.  I want the most direct, least troublesome, cruise ship tells them where to line up, easy to get back option.  I'm only interested in the shuttle provided by the cruiseline.

Thank you for your suggestion though.  When I go back with my husband and daughter, I will look into completely different options than what I'm looking for now.   I'm still waiting to see if anyone has actually done the thing I posted about.  I did just find a walking tour route map online that looks like it won't matter which port we get dropped off at... we'll just do the loop.

  4. Has anyone recently taken an island tour of Mykonos that lasted around 3 hours, and didn't include a beach swim.  We will be there June 2020.  We don't mind stopping at a beach, but we don't want to swim.  The cruise excursions don't sound interesting to us.  We were hoping to find an alternative.  Thanks for the help!

  5. Are there any benefits to waiting until you get on the ship to purchase excursions? Do they ever offer any on the ship that aren't listed on the website prior to the start of the cruise? When you get on the ship, how do you book the excursions. If you wait to book your excursions on the ship, are most of them sold out? If it matters, I'll be on the Allure. Thanks!

  6. I have booked a cruise on the Allure and will be taking my 11 year old daughter. I have looked over the daily activities guide, but I'm not seeing ages except for 18+ on some of the bars/dance areas at night. Would she be allowed to go with me to activities like daily trivia and bingo? I don't want to leave her in the kids' program all day, and I don't see us spending every waking moment at the pool. What are kids actually allowed to participate in outside of the kids' club? Thanks!
