  1. Some of you are insufferable with your opinions of what others should do with THEIR $ on THEIR vacation. If she wanted to use a cc, she would use a dang card! She asked if her scenario was possible because that's the way SHE has chosen to budget herself and the simple answer to that is, yes, it is. Use the kiosk. And as far as "standing in line 7 different times" goes, I can count on 1 hand how many times I've had to stand in line at a kiosk, and that's usually on the last night as people are trying to settle up their account. Later in the evening, you can typically walk right up with not a soul in sight. It takes about 3 minutes or less to do what you need to do at the kiosk. If for some reason that's so unreasonable and takes away from your relaxing time, then newsflash, don't do it! Geesh!

I choose to use cash because it keeps me on budget and I don't put luxuries on credit. If I can't afford to pay cash, I don't need it.

Exactly!! She didn't put it out for discussion. She simply asked "Will My Method Work?" The answer is just "Yes", not "Yes, but this is what I think of your method". If she asked for our opinion of her method, by all means preach away, but she didn't ask our opinions.

  2. Just got off the Liberty on Thursday and we did not have to complete forms, however we also didn't buy anything, so I'm not 100% what exact criteria is. All our cabin steward told us was that we did not have to complete one because we did not buy alcohol. They must track it somehow because he knew. It was AWESOME!! The customs agents were just standing outside their desks, looked at our passports and off we went!

  3. I have been on Disney, NCL, MSC and Grand Celebration and have also decided after my last visit I am gonna just stick with Carnival and build up my points with them ... With the exception of the GC cruise line because I get such cheap prices with them but for anything 3 or more days I will be booked thru carnival

GC is a new one for me... how did you like it?

  4. the best way to hop off and have a good experience is to just go to the right after exiting the ship. You will get to the end of the shopping area after seeing everything ( takes 5 min.) and then you find a liquor store.

Do not waste your money at the name brand bars. Go into the liquor store and buy a couple of brews ( about $5 for 2) then walk 50 steps to the very corner of the port. There is a large lanai with seats where where you can enjoy the beer and the port .

Awesome! Thank you for the tip!:)

  5. It definitely does!! Thank you so We much mimirdh!!

We (Mom and I) are more about the ship and enjoying it when everyone gets off, but figured we should at least get off for a bit in Freeport since we normally do the 3 nights and we've never been. Didn't really want to go so far as to take a cab or an excursion, so this will be perfect! Pop off, wander around a little, maybe have a margarita, and pop back on.

Thanks you so much for your help!:*

  6. I've been trying to search CC, going in and out of different threads. I heard they've built up the port area in Freeport, but have never been. We've been to Nassau a million times (OK, maybe a slight exaggeration), so we won't be getting off the ship (Liberty) there. So we're just looking to get off the ship for a hot minute and stretch our sea legs in Freeport. I know there is a Senor Frogs and a Fat Tuesday. There are some little shops there too, right?

    TIA :)

  7. Anyone who has used the TV ordering option, once you complete your order does it give you an estimated wait time? Also, does anyone know if room service can be called from a ship phone outside our cabin? Say if I wanted to order lunch while still on the Serenity deck, so I can hang out for a few more minutes before heading back to the room. Adding it to the HUB would be AWESOME!! Has anyone ordered any of the options you have to pay for??

  8. Other than Chipotle Mayo, what other sauces are on the fixin's bar? I'm a HUGE fan of dipping sauces with my burgers.... almost more interesting to me than the burger itself. The burger just becomes a "vehicle" for my dipping sauce ;p
