I have a friend that is traveling with a group of us and uses a motorized scooter to get around the ship we are wondering if somebody can give us some advice with how to get around the Port of Call with either a regular wheelchair that you push or even a walker equipped with a seat for him to rest on and if the cruise ship offers a rental service of a non motorized wheelchair or walker he can walk a small distance but will need a wheelchair getting around the ports and something that will fold up and we can put into a taxi.
He already has his motorized scooter rented for the cruise with Scoot Around. The last Cruise he did he was limited to what he could do and basically had to stay at the port because all he had was his motorized scooter. This trip he would like to venture out and try some excursions any advice would be great. We are sailing on Carnival. Ports of Call are Cozumel Grand Cayman Belize and Mahogany Bay Roatan.
We would like to include him in all the excursions we do, most Ports we are planning on going to the beach.
What he is trying to avoid is bringing his wheelchair or scooter from home we live in Nova Scotia Canada and he does not want to drag it all the way to Miami and on his Cruise.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

They said the rates are high because we are so far out what I am wondering is if anybody has stayed there in the month of March 2018 for a guesstimate and what their prices were we usually stay at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami but there rates are 250.00 to 300.00 per night

Thanks everyone for the info my husband first cruise was the Eastern Caribbean he has done 2 Western and prefers the Western as we have always had great weather as he said it is like sailing on glass it was so calm. My sister is on her 25 cruise and any time she has done the Eastern she found that the ship rocked and rolled a little more than the Western side.

There is a group of my family and friends going on the Carnival Breeze doing the 8 day Eastern Caribbean on April 25, 2015 it is my second time doing the Eastern Caribbean our first time was in April and the first 2 days sail was extremely rough and my husband who is still debating if he is going to book is wondering if this is a normal thing when you sail on the Eastern side of the Caribbean. He was sea sick for 2 days and does not want to sail if it is normally that rough he always wears the path and we usually do the Western Caribbean and have not found it rough and he has made out fine but the group wanted to change it up and try the Eastern side again.
