Did you sign up for Carnival Players Club?
I have a VIFP number and have played in the casino on each of my 5/6 cruises. Do I need to do a separate sign up?

You mentioned they took your first week S&S card off you and gave you your new one. I keep my S&S cards are mementos - can I get the first week S&S card back for this purpose?

Is the $600 for cancelled cruises placed across the two S&S cards? Or is placed on the S&S of the primary?
TIA

The obvious question for me - are you all based in North America? I'm a Brit and just don't get casino offer emails at all - even though I can spend hours at the craps table on cruises. Am I missing a setting in my account? Or is it because I'm not north America based?

Any Brits cruised yet? We have Xpresstest by Cignpost booked for next Thursday morning for our flights on Friday. These are rapid antigen tests so should be OK to board with as well. To be safe, we have rapid antigen tests booked at LAX ($80 each) on Friday evening for a slot 1.5 hours after our expected arrival time. We're taking no risks.

First time cruising on NCL this November out of Miami doing the Partial Panama Canal. A couple of questions I hope folks might be able to help with :
- We have a 5-day dining package but I don't really know what that means; any thoughts?
- I'm a craps player, can anyone tell me what the minimum is for the table? $5 or $10 (hopefully not higher).
Thanks for any help - any advice/thoughts in general also appreciated.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've 'joined' a couple of Meet & Mingles on CruiseCritic but then never received anything once on board or seen anything in Fun Times. Can anyone help me?

I was on Carnival Splendor last year for the cruise after she limped back to port with engine trouble. Total itinerary re-work going only to Nassau and Freeport instead of the western Caribbean that was intended - 50% refund, 50% future cruise credit, meaning it was a freebie. Of course, we didn't go where we were supposed to go, but I thought it was a great compromise from Carnival.
I shared the future cruise credit with a friend to go on Miracle later in the year.

As promised - our S&S card was at check-in, on land, for our recent trip on Miracle out of Long Beach. We were very early in boarding (before out designated time of 12:30). Just after we got our S&S cards, they collected all the envelopes behind the counters. Not sure if they were being taken on board or what.

Absolutely no issues encountered on Miracle on recent Mexican Riviera trip.

I am curious as to why we are required to purchase a drink package. I myself do not drink enough alcohol to pay $50.00 a day. I may have two a day at the most. I can understand this for people that enjoy drinking. Is there another option for us that are older and do not drink a lot?
As Lenny has said, there's no obligation to purchase, they're simply there for those who feel they may spend more. I bought a Bottomless Bubbles on my cruise out of Sydney and really didn't feel like I got value. I haven't bought a package before. Additionally, if you're going to gamble in the casino, you might 'earn' your Drinks on Us card during your cruise, meaning you get free drinks when you're gambling. Far be it for me to say how long you should gamble after you've got your freebie. ;-)

Boarding Miracle in just over a week - will update afterwards.

Just had a reply to my e-mail to tell me I had opted out of marketing - hence, no offers. D'oh! Preferences changed and hoping for offers.
-
Thanks for the update - fingers crossed.

The other question is - is it boat related or port related? I got my S&S card on board boarding at Miami.
-
Thanks for the replies - I'll keep you informed when I'm back.

Splendor out of Miami in March they were in the mailbox outside your cabin. Will be interesting to see what happens on Miracle in 12 days. :-D

I've read a couple of old threads on this subject but wondered if any recent cruisers have any updates/insider knowledge?
I will be taking my 3rd Carnival cruise (and 3rd within 12 months) in 12 days (Miracle out of LA). Wondered what I might expect as I'm a Brit. I have never receivedf any 'offers'. Earned my 'Drink on Us' card at day 4 on the last cruise. No, I'm not a high roller but the last cruise was at least kind to me.
I've e-mailed in to the club to see if they offer to non-US residents but wondered about insight from here.
Did also get the steakhouse upgrade in MDR for the last night on the last cruise - but that might be because I was on Splendor straight after her issues and we weren't on our itinerary but went to The Bahamas instead. They put on Chris Rock (didn't go to see him) and a couple of 'extras' in the bingo to help the disappointment of re-itinerising (is that even a word?).
Oh, seeing as bingo is gambling, does that count too?
Any insights helpful. TY in advance.

Phew - we're on Miracle for 30/9 sailing. Fingers crossed!
