  1. Cartagena has loads of "must-see" places not only the Roman Theatre.

I am planning a cruise for this 2017 and I hace contacted some local guides that I contacted them also for my cruise in Valencia.

They are oganising a private tour for me 4h Cartagena by private transport. They have recommended to visit the Punic Walls (beggining of the Cartagena´s history), then a panoramic drive to the Castle Explanade (try to avoid the elevator gets soooo crowded), and then we have planned to go down to the Modernist city center walking so we will admire the Roman Theatre from a panoramic view.

I really trust Ana & Jordi Linares private tour guides, as they organised my shore excursion in Valencia

  2. THERE IS A MARVELOUS CONTEMPORARY MUSEUM IN ALICANTE. UNFORTUNATELY i cannot remember the name of it, but it is easy to miss as the entrance looks like a regular door. wonderful architecture inside. A beautiful city. good shopping to. The Castle is a must, very interesting and worthy.

The Museum you mentioned is MACA.

  3. Last 1st August our ship stopped in Alicante, we had planned in advance a private guided tour with transport with Ana & Jordi Linares private tour guides.

We had such a wonderful time visiting the Saint Barbara Castle, we went down by foot visiting Sta Cruz area (very interesting and NOT full of tourists), then we visited the old town and we even had time for some tapas at the Spanish Explanade.

Aparently you don´t need to use private transport because you can use the elevator to go the Castle, but if you want to avoid long queues and crowed sites I recommended as we did and we didn´t lose any minute!:D

I hope you all find this info useful!!

  4. Valencia is a wonderful city even if you travel in winter or autumm.

We booked a tour directly with Ana & Jordi Linares private tour guides. We first did a panoramic tour with a stop in the City of Arts and Sciences, then we went to the Old town and we continue our 6h tour to Requena for a private winery tour where we visited the village of Requena and a winery accompanied by our expert local guide.

All the process to book the private tour directly with them was so easy and I will hardly recommend it to everyone.
