wispackrat, Thanks so much for the detailed description of the tours in Paris. Our tour will be on a Sunday also.

We leave on a Paris to Prague itinerary in a few weeks, and I'm curious to know which excursions (either optional or included) you thought were particularly great, along with any duds.

wispackrat, could you say more about the Paris included tour? I'm thinking it's the morning after arrival and is a bus overview of the city. How long was it and when did you get back to the hotel? I'd like to plan the rest of the day. Thanks.

We just got back from the Cities of Light tour and we started in Prague, so it must be confessed that we had more energy than we had at the end of our trip. As I recall, the sightseeing tour of Prague began on the bus with a panoramic view of Prague which went to the Castle.

If anyone else has a question, I would be glad to answer if I can.

Unfortunately my in-laws will not be joining us on our Alaskan cruise at the end of this week.

 

We booked them through CAS - phoned CAS 7 days ago - told them had to cancel the cruise - received an email while on the phone with the rep confirming the cancellation showing that the cancellation charges were the initial "admin fee" and the travel protection (total $638).

 

We had prepaid a fair number of things, the daily service charges, 2 excursions, a spa pass etc. on our credit card. After doing research on this board I was expecting to wait weeks to get this back. Checked my credit card statement on line today - the expected return posted to my credit card this morning. So not bad - cancelled 12 days out - expected refund posted 7 days later.

 

Hopefully you don't have to cancel a cruise - but this was my experience with refunds on prepaid "stuff".

What is CAS?

I believe they have a spot to store your luggage onboard in the event your room is not ready, if you are bringing your own luggage on and that's your concern.

Thanks. It's things like our computer etc. - carry on luggage that I don't want to take back out with us that concerns me.

Excellent. Sounds like we might go earlier and then have time to go back out to see more of Venice.

We are on the Spirit out of Venice and would like to board when it is likely that we can go straight to the room. We are staying in Venice the night before. Boarding time is 12 pm and sailaway is 11 pm. We have no perks - first time on NCL and in regular balcony room. What time do you think we might reasonably expect to be able to board and get our room?

Hi 1st time cruiser and starting to look into excursions for our cruise (Venice to Barcelona) question is are the ports manageable on your own or is it worth the ridiculously priced ship excursions? Thanks 😀

Are you on the roll call for your trip? We have an active roll call for the Spirit Venice to Barcelona leaving 9/18. We are using this tour company for Florence and Rome. We booked a full day in Florence and Rome. In Rome, it is a mini van and includes major sights and for an additional charge the skip the line tickets at the Vatican. The reviews are excellent. 99 Euros.
