Who are the best wait teams on the Sunshine now, we are sailing May 6, 2017 ?? Thanks in advance
Hi we sailed on the Sunshine on April 15th. We had your time to dine and requested the same waitress every time. Her name was Tatiana, she and her staff were awesome. She knew what we wanted to drink by the 2nd day. She also by the 3rd day knew that my mom would probably order the mashed potatoes, and offered them to her everyday. She is so sweet, and very good.

Hi it doesn't look like the cabin doors are metal but are the cabin walls? I like to bring magnets to post notes on the walls.
Thank you
We sailed on the Sunshine the week of April 15 in cabin 5335. The door was not metal, but the walls were. We brought magnetic hooks. They were great for storing wet bathing suits, hats, and other things that could be hung.

Tell her not to worry.
While she's welcome to order from the kids menu, if she sees something that she thinks she'll like, but it has sauce or something else, then tell the waiter and they can adjust it for her to make it more plain. My mom doesn't do spice or sauce or seasoning well, so they will make something for her that is simple and plain.
You can almost always get pasta, grilled chicken, steak or even hamburgers in the MDR. At least have her give it a chance to see if she'd like it.
Thank you :) We always tease her about eating beige. It needs to be beige in color and in flavor. We are traveling with my mom too, who does not eat any spice.

Good information and something to look forward to ... we're on the Sunshine in 8 days!
Me too :)

Do they give the kids something similar to what the adults get - where it lists everything going on for the kids in camp? I've found a handful of images through google, and it showed REALLY generic descriptions like "games" or "art fun" and there were no descriptions of what they'd actually be doing. I'm hoping we get more info than that.
Sallee, we're on the same sailing as you, but our daughter is 9. Only 23 more days!!!!
My daughter will be turning 13 on the 15th of April. We are getting so excited. I was mainly looking for what the little kids are doing. I have a 3 year son, who is a spit fire.

I have a 3, 13, and 16 year old, and I am looking for the carnival capers for the 8 day cruise. We sail on April 15 :)

Thank you so much for your help. I think we will try to have him go to the camp. I may be able to talk my 16 year old into eating with him as well. She looked at the menu yesterday and said this food is way to fancy.

We are sailing in April with our 3 year old son. We have main dining early seating. My question is, are there options for him while we are dining. I know he will not be able to sit through an hour meal, but we would like to enjoy the main dining room. I did see that they have a children's only meal from 6 to 6:45. Any suggestions would be great.
Sunshine - cabin lights and cabin door questions

HI We were on the sunshine the week of April 15 in cabin 5335. We only left the ac on the medium setting and it was fine. The high was a little cold for us. You need to leave your sign in sail card in a slot by the door for the lights. You have switches in the room to control the individual lights, but in order for them to work you need a card in the slot by the door. We actually used our room stewards business card. We loved the location of the cabin. It was down the hall from the elevators that take you directly to the lido deck on 9. Just out the door to the buffet. It was also the same elevator for the kids club, which was very nice. We did any time dining and loved it. We requested the same wait staff every night, and only waited 5 minutes one night. We have a 3 year old, so we did not see any shows. Maybe next year.
I wanted to say to, as far as room temp. We brought a small, powerful fan. That eliminated any noise, which there was none, and kept us cooler at night. All in all, we LOVED the sunshine. If you have kids I think you will love the 5th floor, very convenient for all the things kids love.
