  1. Hi can anyone tell me what the boat ride is like from Castries to the pitons on a land and water trip, one of our party suffers from vertigo so just wondering if the sea is rough or if the speed of the boat makes is very bouncy.

    Thanks

  2. Spencers Ambrose's Beach Break tour doesn't include anything but boat trip and beach time at Jalousie beach. You're transported directly there, usually first ones to arrive do wide choice of the free chairs in shade, and have approx 4.5-5+ hours of beach time. Cost includes food and drinks also.

His Land and Sea tour is the one that includes waterfall, volcano and gardens - and no, there's no climbing the waterfall on this tour as its not a climb-able waterfall like Dunn's River Fall is...it's a steep smaller waterfall that drops into a pool to swim in and under the falls, not a series of pools with gentle sloped rocks, etc to clamor over... Very different experience. Even this tour includes about an hour of beach time and free chairs are a aline under the shade palapas... If any are available.

You have the option on either tour to rent a more plush beach chair from the resort but it's not necessary - the resort provides free chairs with palapas for visitors...

  3. Hi Can anyone tell me what the roads are like on the trip to Soufriere. I have my 80yr old mum with me and I am worried that the roads might be too bumpy for her. If you have read any of my other threads you will see that she has Menieres condition which is like severe vertigo and I have read that it's a very windy and bumpy road.

I want her to have a great time and enjoy the experience but don't want to make her ill.

  5. Hi this is my first cruise and I'm not sure if I've used this site correctly as I t replies to it, maybe it was a boring thread :D But if anyone sees it, about trips, I would appreciate any answers. I am sailing on Celebrity Summit from San Juan on 15th April.

Can anyone please advise what time we will need to be back on board for evening sailing.

    Thanks

    Barbara

  6. Help please, This is my first cruise and I am taking my 80yr old mother to the southern caribbean in April.

My mum suffers from Menieres disease which is a condition of the inner ear causing something akin to severe vertigo, which is why I have never taken her on a cruise. We are told that she won't feel the movement on a large ship but I am concerned, I was told that the highest decks would be the best so we have cabins on the 9th deck. I have now read that there is a lot of movement felt on the higher decks and we would have been better lower down.

Can anyone please confirm. We are travelling on Celebrity Summit.

    Many Thanks
