  1. Nice. I don't mind paying $100 each for an all day tour with a nice guy like Errol. Was thinking this would be my least favorite port. Now it's the one I'm most looking forward to. Thanks shelbel.

Awesome! That is exactly how I felt - was not super excited about Jamaica but turned out to be our favorite port! When are you going? You will have to let me know about your day in Jamaica. Best wishes!!!

  2. You guys from Denver too? Saw the Broncos shirt.

I sent Errol a message yesterday.

Looks like a blast. How much money should I plan on?

No, MN, but my husband grew up in Nebraska and is a big Broncos fan :).

  3. Errol just sent me an email. He said it's $230 for transportation. Konoko falls is $20 for adults and $13 for kids. Then lunch and shopping cost. We're your kids okay with a lot of driving? As far as tipping Errol? $30 to $50? Was hoping to spend less in Jamaica. Lol. Guess not.

The driving was OK, since you drive to the furthest point first and then make your way (stopping a couple of times) back to the ship. Not super cheap, but I think the personalized service is worth it. Lunch at Scotchies was very reasonable. I think the tip you mention is appropriate. We may have paid him a little more, but we got caught up in the moment, since he was such a nice guy.

  4. Jamaica was the port I was least looking forward to but ended up being my favorite, since we had an amazing tour guide. We (me, husband and 6 yo daughter) cruised this past March and stopped in Falmouth. We hired a guide for the day, Errol Bowen, who I got as a rec from this site, and he was lovely. We messaged back and forth a couple of times before our trip. I gave him some ideas of what we wanted to do. He was waiting for us when we got off our ship and took us to Konoko Falls & Park, a beautiful private beach, and lunch at Scotchies where we got to eat authentic Jamaican jerk chicken. He even stopped on the side of the road and bought us some sugar cane to try. I would highly recommend him!!!

  6. Hi! We are cruising Liberty (RCI) and get back to Galveston at 6:30am. Our flight out of IAH is at 2:15pm. What is a realistic time that we will be off the ship to catch transportation to IAH? I am planning on 1.5-2 hours travel time to IAH so thinking about booking pick-up around 10am. Is that reasonable?

    Thanks!!!

  7. Hello everyone! Our family of 3 (me, husband and 6 yo daughter) is cruising on the Liberty next week. We are first time RCL cruisers (and only our 2nd cruise ever - daughter's first). I have a few questions:

    1. Is the Cafe Select Coffee Card worth it? I am not going to get a beverage package for myself, but I do love coffee (especially lattes), and this doesn't seem to be too outrageous of a price. Has anyone tried this before?

    2. Should I buy lanyards for our Sea Passes before we go? If so, does someone have a good link to buy online (i.e. Amazon)?

That's it for now, but I'm sure I'll have more. This app has been amazing. I have been scouring the previous posts like crazy to find out what to do, pack, etc. If anyone has any advice they would like to share, I'm all ears.

    Thank you!

  8. Hi! We are looking for an excursion for our day in Cozumel. We have a 6 yo daughter who loves to swim (especially in pools). My DH and I will probably have a beverage or two but not lots so an AI may not be worth it. Leaning toward Paradise Beach.

If we do Paradise, do we need to book ahead of time? Is here an age limit of the inflatables? Wondering if my daughter can go on the slides, trampolines, etc. Do they have life jackets to borrow?

Would love to hear others' thoughts. Thanks!!
