I don't think so! What's worse is that you'll be on a cruise on a day of fasting and abstinence. :( remember that Ash Wednesday is not a holy day of obligation. I know you'll miss having the sign and symbol of beginning Lent, but it will be okay. One of my first cruises (20 years ago) was over Easter. We had a priest on board who actually did the Triduum services every night, including veneration on Good Friday. Easter was in the main theater. It was beautiful to see so many people take time during their cruise to worship together. But sailing on Good Friday was definitely a good way to test our commitment to sacrificing!!
Just wanted to comment how beautiful this post is!

I believe if there is a priest on board there may be an opportunity. Some cruise lines always have a priest but not RCCL

:(
I have made attempts to contact our ambassador and have never received reply. Our cruise leaves Friday.
At this point, I just hope we make it to the boat. I'm in ATL & were expecting major ice event!
It's the strangest thing. I have now had two emails asking me to confirm my travel plans so my request can be assigned! I suspect they don't have sufficient personnel to handle the requests? I am close to giving up on the idea at this point.
Good luck with the ice storm. Leaving from Providence a week from Friday and praying there are no weather issues.m another storm here on Cape Cod this week :-(

Yes - there are companies that will deliver to the ship. I used to know the names but have forgotten them. Check the Disabled travel forum on here as that would be the best place to ask.

Well we start traveling to our port in 1 day and still no word other than my confirmation email asking which island. And I sent a follow up email last week with no reply. Very disappointing because I bought them a pile of gifts, including ordering books for the school.
Still a couple of weeks to go here but I had sent a follow up email so I would know whether to go ahead and get things to bring. Not fee lining optimistic after reading your post

Does anyone know a good shuttle bus service from Naples, Florida to the cruise port in Fort Lauderdale. We are leaving on 1/25/14.
A friend is using the Florida Express Bus for the reverse trip post cruise..

Is anyone else having issues with RCCL website today? I'm unable to access my reservation. We sail Saturday & I'm wanting to double check & print everything. I'm not sure if its just my reservation or everyones.???
Had issues last night. Finally got to mine somehow. Fortunately don't sail till next month

We are on the Allure on February 16th with an abbreviated port time in Nassau--7 am-2 pm, I think. We are thinking of just staying on the ship as we know there will be more than enough to do on board (last cruise was on RCCL Liberty in the Mediterranean, a very "port-packed" itinerary, and while it was fabulous we actually wished we had more time on the ship). But then I read about People to People and thought it sounded intriguing.
We have an 8-year-old, an almost 6-year-old, and a 3.5-year-old. I would love to have my kids have the opportunity to meet local Bahamian kids and learn about what their schools are like, how their lives are similar and different, etc. For those familiar with the program, would there be enough time, with the shortened port time, to spend with a P2P ambassador, visit a school and meet kids, etc.?
I am on Oasis the following week with same amount of port time. Received an initial reply when I contacted them a few months back. Look forward to more info soon. I am very excited about an opportunity to immerse into the true culture.

I've only heard of the various unlimited packages now. This was from Allure not too long ago:

Not sure if ut's exactly the same on Oasis.
Thank you !

Not exactly sure what you are asking. Oasis and Allure are the only ships so far with unlimited internet plans. The other ships charge by the minute, and that price seems to be rising. Someone recently reported the price was up to $0.85 / minute on their ship.
Does Oasis offer any limited packages or is it only the unlimited plan now?

Also, oasis has both Seattles Best and Starbucks? A bit confused still on premium coffee and tea.

Have other internet packages changed in terms of cost with the introduction of unlimited internet?

Got the contact info. Tried to reach her multiple times. Clearly this was not meant to be. Maybe another time.
Sounds like maybe the demand is more than they can handle?
