  1. I was on this same cruise. The earthquake was at 9:51 pm. We had already left at 6 pm. Not to start something but I am not sure how you were hustled off the beach. We weren't there when it happened. I was at Little French Key all day and it was fine besides being a little rainy. I was at Burn the Floor at 9:51 and didn't feel much besides the boat being a little rocky that night.

I do feel as though NCL didn't handle properly. I didn't hear about the earthquake til the next day when I received some messages from family asking if we were ok. We had no idea what they were talking about. There was no announcement about the earthquake. Unless you were watching the news passengers didn't hear about it.

  2. I think what they were saying is that even if prices go up on other cruises the price you paid might be protected. I had a really good rate on a large balcony on the epic. The same rate on the same room on Getaway is 200 more a person. When they cancelled the Epic and offered the Getaway it didn't cost me anymore money plus I got some free OBC. If you would have waited until they cancelled it on you, your price would have possibly been carried over to another ship no matter what the rooms were selling for at the time.

I completely understand the full charter! My predicament at this point is I could be sailing with a 90% of a partial charter with a group I don't want to sail with. My complaint is how NCL compared to Celebrity approach customer service. The longer I wait on the gamble of this scenario the prices go up on other sailings. As it is, what I booked on Friday to today is another $200 plus.

  3. Just got the email that Epic was cancelled for the 1/6/2018 sailing. These were my options.

Option 1: Select one of the following Norwegian Epic's 7-day sailings and your cruise fare will be protected.

    - - 12/2/17; 12/16/17; 1/27/18; 2/10/18; 2/24/18; 3/17/18; 3/24/18 and 3/31/18

    - Option 2: Move to Norwegian Getaway's sailing of January 7, 2018 from Miami, Florida and your cruise fare will be protected.

    - Option 3: Select any available sailing in our fleet through April, 2019 at the current published fare and your deposit will be applied towards the new sail date.

  4. I googled "Holy Ship 2018 dates". The web site with the space lab in it's address is the one that lists the dates and ship.

Yeah there are a few sites listing that date. I will just keep an ear out. We haven't booked anything else yet. The cruise on the 20th would probably work for us. Maybe we will get some bonus on board credit for this. Bummed to push it further out though.

  5. Personally I don't consider nine months in advance is that far out to start making plans. We have a cruise booked on the Celebrity Silhoutte for 1/26/2018 and everything but insides are sold out already and has been for a few months now. I'm concerned about rumor of the 1/6/2018 Epic being chartered also. Does anyone know what NCL does when they cancel your cruise besides refund your deposit?

I am booked on the 1/6/2018 epic cruise. I haven't gotten a cancellation notice yet. Where did you hear the rumor?
