When you sign the "Activities Waiver" you are entering into an agreement that you will not hold Royal Caribbean responsible for any accident as well as part of the E-Ticket Agreement that you signed.  Now I am not sure how Royal Caribbean was negligent in this incident and we would want to know if the passenger used the equipment as intended.

If there is camera footage that could potentially show if the passenger was using the equipment as intended or if there was  a flaw in the equipment.  If there are any witnesses I am sure they would be interviewed if possible.

Royal Caribbean is under no obligation to compensate the passenger if its found out that there was no negligence involved. I would also want to know if the passenger had too much to drink or was not fit to use the equipment as intended. The video posted in the article may go against the passenger because it may help Royal settle the case in their favor.

I just got off the mariner today. I did the skypad 2 times......i didn't sign any activity waiver for it. The only waiver i signes was for the flowrider.

Not a rumor,  Confirmed by RCI.  they will dock and guests will have access to: Chill Grill and Shack Shack (1 of the 3 being built) as wall as the Oasis Lagoon.

This is a test (soft) opening.

That would be awesome! I am sailing this weekend....i hope this is true!

  3. Getting a shuttle is pretty fast, and I honestly had no complaints about using this company but having just got a new car I feel safer parking at the port this time lol.

lucky for us we are driving out 13 year old van....i don't think anyone would want it....LOL.

  4. I normally use safecruiseparking but this time I think I'll park at the port. There is a pretty big price difference though, only $55 for the week compared to $154 to park at the port. I guess the convenience is worth it. Although I've had no issues parking off site, I just want to park my car and walk to the ship this time and when the cruise is over to do the same.

safecruiseparking was the one i was looking at...it has pretty mixed reviews. how is it getting a shuttle? is it pretty fast?

  5. I parked off site last August and while I did not have any problems, I will park at the port from now on and just pay the extra money. All of the offsite lots are REALLY offsite, like not even on the same little island as the port and Miami traffic can be brutal so it took a really long time to get to and from the parking lot, even though it was only like 3 miles away. Again, I had no real issues, car was safe, got to the cruise on time, got picked up in a reasonable amount of time after the cruise, but for me it all just took too long.

which lot did you park at? i am getting as much info as i can before i decide :)

  6. We were just in 13003 and the living room had a bunk sofa, even though the deck plan showed a sofa bed. (last time I checked, anyway). We were very happy with this since it worked better for our family. Just like everything with MSC, it seems pretty random. We just planned for the worst and brought a small air mattress in our suitcase and were pleasantly surprised when things worked out.

thanks! i am hoping since it is the same deck we will also have a bunk sofa!

  7. Just off the 3/24 sailing - I purchased a package based on MB for $30 which did the trick for some work I had to do on the day at sea. I think I got 1000MB - we did have the free surfer package so the $30 charge was after we ran out of the free MB included in our free package.

i am just curious how much you got for the free surfer package? we have the same package and i am trying to figure out if i should buy more before we get on the ship.

  8. when you state this:

    by debit or prepaid card

You should make sure that your debit/prepaid card is enabled for use abroad.

The following debit cards are accepted: Maestro, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard debit.

Any amount debited to your card and not spent during your cruise will be reimbursed in cash at the Reception - Guest Service on the final morning before disembarkation.

how much money do they take from your account??

  9. We have the mealtime drink package and i was wondering a couple things. How does it work in the buffet when you want to get a drink? do you have to sit down and call a server over? can you get anything self service? also i know it includes a select few wines and beer, but do they have hard cider on the ship at all? my husband is gluten free and cannot drink beer.

  10. i have no idea about cancellations or anything, my guess is that they will re-route to other ports. i am taking a break from being excited about our cruise in june while we prepare for this massive storm to hit our house, i wish all i had to worry about right now was my cruise being cancelled :(
