  1. Yes credit cards (visa and mastercard) accepted at 99% of places here in New Zealand. American Express at probably 80% of restaurants and taxis but sometimes with 3% surcharge. USD not accepted in Australia or New Zealand so some NZ AND AUS dollars will be useful. We don't genetally accept each other's currency either. Tipping not expected here in NZ but we might if really good service - there is no % as it's not commonplace as we have a minimum hourly wage rather than relying on tips. But will be appreciated if you liked the service. If a taxi expected a tip you could probably complain as I'm sure it would be frowned upon by the regulatory body. I wouldn't normally tip a taxi here. Enjoy our countries!

  2. We bought a Pacsafe antitheft camera sling strap for Europe for the SLR. Then it was always out ready to go. We had a smaller Pacsafe bag it could go in if needed that we wore across the shoulder. Then we had small back packs for sweatshirts, sunblock etc for the things we coild cope with losing. Looked like tourists but no probs at all

  3. Funny, we were just talking about this here in New Zealand! We went on the 3 night itinerary on the Dream for Nassau and Castaway Cay in Oct 2014. Unfortunately Hurricane Joaquin came in and we missed Nassau - having a day at sea instead. It was great. Gave us time to enjoy the ship and relax. Whichever way, enjoy Disney CL is awesome
