  1. Personally, I would not rent from the locals. From my readings and research I've found this to be the average answer. Too many people get scammed. I just rented two jeeps through Alamo for my cruise October 2nd when we visit Cozumel on the 7th. They were $109 each with the "everything" insurance. I prefer to go with Alamo as they are a large brand that is not exclusive to Mexico. I've also read that the vehicles you rent from locals will have non working gauges, gas and speedo to be precise.

Where is the closest Alamo to the cruise ship docks?

  2. Well the original post said one picture from a Carnival Cruise. That's hard. Not the Carnival part but the one Favorite part. I think My all time favorite was taken December 2007, Carnival Triumph Cruise

And what is a Carnival Cruise without Funship Freddy?

Freddy went everywhere with us during this cruise. He became quite popular with the photographers on the ship as well as many passangers.

    Ooops. It was this one.:D

I vote this the best scenery shot!! Good Job!

  4. There are only those few HC rooms that will accomodate a scooter. You would need to contact Guest Services to be sure your (friends) cabin has the wider doorways, so the scooter would fit through the door.

Dave, we were assigned from a guarantee booking and I have stayed in an HC cabin on the Fantasy (although neither me or my friend have disabilities) and a scooter would be fine anywhere on the ship, including the room we stayed in. We had U243 which was an Aft OV cabin. I think the reason we were assigned that room was because my nephew had recently been injured and is not wheelchair dependent. I had inquired about the facilities for HC and therefore, Carnival allowed me to stay in the cabin to get the knowledge to share (I didn't ask for it so don't flame me, and I don't think I took anyone's room).

You posted on my Conquest roll call a question for me. I answered you there and I'm willing to share any information and pictures if you wish for them. Let me know how much you need and want.

All-in-all, your friend and his/her scooter will be fine on the ship. Happy Sailing!

  5. I'm looking for a VERY specific answer to cabins numbered 2462 and 2465. If you have stayed in these cabins ---

    1) do they have twin beds that convert to a queen/king?

    2) are they handicap cabins (no lip to the bathroom door, wider doorways, shower is bigger with no lip)?

    3) do you have pics of these cabins made out to a queen/king bed?

    Thank you for your responses!
