  1. No, Breakaway does not have Sugarcane Mojito Bar.

This is true but you won't have a problem finding one a good mojito. I would recommend trying prime meridian bar in between the steakhouse and the Brazilian place. At moderno i had some drink that was very similar to mojito and was quote good. I also had a mojito at the atrium that was good. I would avoid the pool bars.

  2. We have been on 16 cruises with different cruise lines, most with NCL. All the shows usually run about an hour. The cruise director usually has something to pass on after the shoe, and bring back show participates for a bow. You can always leave a few minutes early. If you have reservations at a specialty restaurant, they will hold them for 15 minutes. It does take a few minutes to go from the show to the restaurant, though.

Ok well i was on the breakaway rock of ages was longer, but i wasn't sure blazing boots but i guess its more like burn the floor which was under an hour.

  3. I was on deck 9 fwd balcony on the breakaway and the motion was bad i don't know if it was the rough seas. I brought the wrist bands just in case and both my wife and i used them. We didn't get sick but definitely felt it.

  4. We went to margaritaville, i know you said no cost but there was seriously only one other table taken. We paid under 20 for the two of us. The food was good and if you are planning to go there at some point anyway. The drinks are great and are included in the beverage package if you have one. Also, if you want the least crowed buffet in the mourning it is great especially when the ship is moving.

  5. Ship to Crystal Caves: We are a group of seven, from ages 5 to 73. Any suggestions on the best way to get the entire group to the Crystal Caves? Cost info as well if available please. A little walking is okay, but not too much since the grandparents are in tow.

We took the free ferry to st george, if you do this take the 9;00am ferry the 11;30 one was a mob scene. We then took a bus to the caves we bought a 3 zone token which cost us 11 dollars for the 2 of us. The bus comes every 15 min or so but gets crowded later in the day. The caves honestly were just ok, a lot of steps for someone who is 73 there was someone that age in the group we were in and he seemed to be having a hard time. I would recommend the crystal caves over the fantasy caves if you only want to do one. We got there kinda of late so there was waiting in between. Also i highly recommend the swizzle inn for lunch, great fish sandwiches for lunch and of course rum swizzles. There is also and ice cream place right there that is also very good.

  6. Thank you for the info and pic, this is very helpful! Yes, I can see now that size balcony is just going to be too small. Would love an aft-facing balcony but it would probably be out of the budget.

So the angled balconies for the same price are category B6? Are any of these for 4 people?

Also, what is an example of a cabin number with the angled balcony? Trying to tell from the deck plan.

    Thank you again!

I have cabin 9736 on the breakaway this sunday, I'm told it is an angled balcony, it was the same price as the regular balconies. I will take a picture.

  7. So I'm currently in an Family Inside cabin (not because we have kids, but because it was the only mid ship left when we booked) and got the offer to bid on an upgrade to a balcony. So I put in a bid for a little over the minimum, $60 pp. So now when i price it out, I see balcony rooms are the same price as we paid for the Inside room. So I'm thinking of just calling them to see if they'll upgrade me because i'm afraid of getting all the way forward or aft because of the motion.

My questions is, should I just call and see if they'll upgrade me? Do you think they'll do it? They're selling balcony rooms for the same price I paid. Do I have a chance? Does anyone have any experience with this?

I'm cruising on BA on 6/4.

Yes, if you view my previous post from today that was also from the breakaway about a month before the cruise. I think they start reviewing the bids 2 weeks before at least thats what they told me. So if i were you i would call now. You would also get an extra perk if switch from inside to balcony and be able to pick from the rooms available.

  8. This whole new process of bidding is very frustrating. I bid minimal on an upgrade from inside to balcony for cruise two weeks from today. Not knowing until 2 days before is really annoying. This is our first inside cabin. We have always done balconies or above except last cruise was an ocean view which we hated due to the location of these cabins. We did not really miss the balcony though. So we decided to try the inside this trip. If we don't get the balcony I am fine with it. Hoping we will be happy with the inside and save money on future ncl cruises. This new system of not knowing until 2 days before your cruise stinks. Won't bid again. Rather just stay in the cabin we pick next time. Also not being able to know what cabin you will get if you do win the bid is also scary.

I was also going to bid from and inside to a balcony, but i noticed the prices to my cruise continued to drop. I called ncl and it was $360 total to upgrade but i would get 100 dollars onboard credit. My plan was to bid 130 a person anyway since that was the low end of the fair range. I also had already paid for the dining package already and got the money back for that since it was an added perk. So rather then bidding i was happy i could pick my cabin, get my dining package, and get 100 onboard credit all of which i would not have gotten had i bid. This may work during the busier seasons but its worth looking into.
