  1. It really is dress the way you want.

If you do decide you want to dress up on the theme nights I can tell you that there is almost always a: white party ( everyone wears as much white as possible ), Italian night, Gala night, and 70’s night.

  2. Hello Everyone,

My boyfriend and I are sailing on Mera March 1st. It was a last minute cruise so we were unable to book like we usually do ( We usually sail in the YC . this will be our 5th cruise with them, but 1st time cruising in a regular bella balcony).

This time we were thinking about getting the Premium Plus Drink package which says it includes the mini bar and Free Room Service. My question is - Does the Free Room Service include ordering pizza?

Thank you to everyone who is able to answer this question. I know some might think it is silly, but we have a tradition of eating their amazing pizza in the room while watching a movie.

  3. First let me say, You are going to LOVE the YC. My Husband and I are sailing Dec 9th as well ( 15001 ) :) This will be our 2nd time on Divina and in the YC. Le Muse is wonderful, and we actually we were able to order food from Eataly one night and they brought it to us in Le Muse.

The posters above are correct on attire. Wearing dockers and a shirt on a normal cruise day is fine. I know that for me as a woman, I would wear a sundress most days just because it was cool out and being in Le Muse just makes you feel like you are in a beautiful intimate setting.

here are a few links to some of the Le Muse menus we had back in June.

  4. I really don't understand the bad reviews people are leaving. My husband I went on Divina in June and we had an amazing time. I think each person has their own idea about what they want/expect of a cruise and 90% of the time they are expecting what they had on another cruise line or ship.

For example - A lot of people who want a party ship would probably say "hey that sounds like Carnival"

Or "Hey we want to make sure its the best vacation for our children" well a majority of people may say that is what Disney Cruise Lines and RCL are known for.

With MSC or rather the MSC Divina in particular - She is a gorgeous ship with a wide variety of music/bar areas, tons of hot tubs through out the ship, nice pools, and the shows are more diverse I believe. We saw 3 shows and one was a musical, one had a bunch of acrobatics, and, the last one was a combination of both. We enjoyed all them because it was Different..

The food was awesome, in our opinion. We ate at the buffet twice and really liked the breakfast pizza.. let's be real - The pizza period was AMAZING!!! and don't forget to try some Gelato :). Now I will admit we were in the Yacht Club so we ate at Le Muse for dinner most of the time - and of course the food was perfect - but we had no complaints with the food in the buffet ( It does get crowded sometimes so just head to the back of the buffet area to grab seats ) The little extras Divina has like the 4D theatre ride and the Formula 1 game were icing on the cake for us.

My husband and I both have been on other cruise lines and we used to be avid RCL only cruisers until we found MSC. Again I really think it is all in how you approach the experience. It's going to be different then you are used to no matter what because it is a completely Different cruise line.

I have seen some people state that the other cruisers were rude. We personally didn't have that issue at all. Again I think it is how you carry yourself and what you expect. MSC is not a US cruise line. They are just getting there foot wet in the American market soo bearing that in mind.. A lot of your fellow cruisers may be from other countries like Italy, France, UK, Etc... each country has a different way of interacting with each other.

In some countries you have to take the initiative to call your waiter over at dinner because in their culture its rude to approach otherwise.. If you are used to say RCL (where your waiter checks on you a lot during dinner ) then you may think your waiter is being rude.. They aren't .... It is there culture.. And before anyone says it.. Yes they are in an american market but that doesn't mean the company should toss all its culture and history out the window..

    :):):)

Sorry for this being such a long reply, but I think if you go into it with an open mind and without the influence of everyone else that you will truly enjoy the cruise. If you were going on the Dec 9th sailing we would definitely be there to help answer any questions etc.

I sincerely hope you give the Divina a chance. she really is an amazing ship.

  5. We saw quite a few children on our cruise in June ( the 3 day one ), but I must say.. every child we saw in YC or Le Muse was incredibility well behaved and on the YC pool deck there was really no issue with the kids playing or being wreckless. I think you will be fine :)

  6. Actually. The ceiling IS magnetic, but the walls were NOT when we went on the Divina in June. ( they may be metal, but whatever type it is. It was not magnetic )

We used magnetic hooks on the ceiling to hang a make shift projector screen ( ya we are nerds ;) ) so they can def hold clothes on a hanger if needed.

    I hope this helps some.

  7. Hello joeyjeremiah,

Actually there is, kind of. When we went on Divinia in July we were able to connect a device to their self service page. This comes up at the same time as the internet login screen.

If you check out this link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6ih9i9zlzlzi7td/MSC-Divina-app.jpg?dl=0

it should make a bit more sense. I personally have thought it would be neat for there to be telegram chats for each cruise so everyone can chat with each other, but in the mean time you will be able to utilize MSC's onboard.

  8. Thanks! Good to hear that they provide that as I was debating whether we should bring our own. We're the products nice? Did you like them, or were they perfume-y?

Sounds like you enjoyed the Divina and especially YC!

I liked them alot, and of course your amazing butler will refill them every day :) let me try this pic again

  9. Just want to say, if you've signed up for the M&G, PLEASE go ... just got back from a short 3-day Divina cruise July 8, and the M&G was fantastic! What a difference a year makes - went a year ago on their short cruise, and all MSC did was post in the Daily Log that Cruise Critic was meeting at 5:30 in one of the bars ... no ship's personnel present, no roped-off area, in fact all around us was bar patrons quaffing their brews.

THIS year, MSC went went way above-and-beyond. We had 18-20 CC members there - very good for such a short cruise - and we were overwhelmed by the generosity of the crew. The evet was held in a closed restaurant, the cruise director Andre gave a very speech - he's also a CC member (though he refused to divulge his handle) and said he reads everything posted re: MSC.

Then - the captain! The captain circulated throughout the room, chatting with EVERYONE! I'm used to having a 20-second introduction to him, mumbling "Hello, how are you doing," and then being hustled away.

Not this time. The Captain (Marco Massa) seemed to thoroughly enjoy the give-and-take with guests. He made it a point to stop in front of each person and he engaged in as much conversation as you would like.

Oh - for one of the rare times in my experience, they had real booze at the M&G - that and plenty of pastries, punch etc.

Just a real treat being there!

My boyfriend and I were also at this M&G and I couldn't agree more. Not only was the captain there, but a lot of other high ranking officers were as well. We met a bunch of amazing CC members too. I couldn't believe the delicious pastries and drinks they served. We simply loved this cruise and we can not wait until Sept for our next cruise with this Wonderful Cruise Line.

  10. it's on the port side of the front hump so will have full 180 degree of vison and no lifeboat below so downwards is the sea.

it is 192 sq .ft. (167 living area; 24 bath room) balcony 42 sq/ft.

It is the very last (or first depending on your point of view) cabin on the side of the ship so it is a long way to the MDR but only a short way back from the theatre

it has double sofa bed for 3rd/4th guest(s)

    here's where it is

    Pete

Omg Thank You so much. That helps a ton

  11. I was wondering if anyone could post some images of their Divinia daily activities papers. I know things can change, but since this is going to be our first time on MSC, I wanted to try and get an idea of the activities and events on the ship.

Also are there any perks outside of the items listed on the MSC yacht club website for getting one of the yacht club rooms? Do you get gelato free or Free internet?

Asisde form access to the one pool / bar and private dining room and the butler we are trying to weigh the high end all inclusive alcohol plan with a balcony room vs yacht club perks

  12. Hello everyone,

I 'm looking at booking a cruise in September on the Divinia and would like to see if anyone has stayed in any of these rooms. 9011, 9012, 9015, 9016, 9018, 9019.

My boyfriend and I are experienced cruisers with RCL, but this will be our first time sailing with MSC. I understand that these rooms have the steel surroundings on the balcony instead of the glass and that is actually what we want, but room wise any information or images would be amazing.
