Hi we just returned 1st feb from 28 nts caribbean cruise on ventura on the 31st jan about 8.30am 50 knot starboard side winds
suddenly changed to 78 knot port side winds coming into the english channel the vessel listed violently over and you could hear
cups and glasses falling on the floor, the captain in all fairness came over the pa system in about 2mins and told us what had
happened and where in the process of filling tanks up on the opposite side to upright the ship was a bit scary. Our room service
guy leverson ran out the cabin next door into the hallway and said he had never experienced that before and hes been doing
it for 15 years as we carried on through the storm it nearly done it again we where on c deck it felt like i could put my hand over the balcony and touch the sea it was very very weird oh well onwards and upwards cant get any worst can it ?

Q. What will the dress code be whilst I am on board?
Dress Codes By Cruise
We have two evening Dress Codes on-board all our ships; Evening Casual and Black Tie. Details of these, by cruise, can be viewed via the links below. We also host Theme Nights, details of which can be found in the question - Do you have theme nights on board?. On theme nights, guests are invited to dress up in line with the theme. We don’t want to dampen anyone’s fun but coming into effect on 1 January 2018, fancy dress and/or novelty clothing will not be permitted at any other time other than Theme Nights*. In addition to this, clothing personalised with images/slogans, and/or clothing that features offensive language, images or slogans, will also not be allowed.
* This policy does not apply to children 16 and under.
The dress codes listed below are subject to change therefore we are unable to advise what dates the formal nights will take place on in advance. So be sure to check your Horizon newspaper for full details, which will be delivered daily to your cabin on-board.
Adonia from cruise D708P through to D821
Arcadia from cruise J713 through to J819
Aurora from cruise R714 through to R903
Azura from cruise A724 through to A905A
Oceana from cruise E714C through to E829

Hi all
Just a quick heads up from our cruise got back saturday, the check in terminal are security checks only
they are not looking for alcohol, the cases loaded onto conveyor belts outside terminal are also scanned
for security only and not for alcohol. A friend of ours had one of those multi tools in his suitcase so they
keep his suitcase at reception and he had to go down and sign for it as they gave it him back because it
was less than 3 inchs long.
Ok port we did
vigo had port security so no checks on ship
cadiz had port security so no checks on ship
valencia had port security so no checks on ship
cartagena had port security so no checks on ship
lisbon had port security so no checks on ship
gibralta no port security so scanned on board.
Plus last cruise last year some room service food was free but now you have to pay for all room service food.
