  1. I was charged $1.18 for Negronis (I guess that the retail price was $10). They were very good, so I wasn't complaining. $10 retail for a 12oz Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on the other hand..

  2. On our Alaskan cruise, we traveled with a 4 year old that still uses a "big" car seat, and a 7 year old that uses a small (inflatable) booster. We used the car seat while we were renting a car for a couple of days in Seattle (turned back in at the airport), the cab at the airport, and kept it in the closet of our (normal-sized) cabin for most of the cruise, where it took up space, but there was enough space for the clothes that we needed to hang. In Victoria, we took a trip to Butchart Gardens, where we needed the car seat, and we also used it for a cab back to the airport. It all worked out okay, although it was a little tricky getting the car seat through security on the way back to the ship in Victoria (they visually inspected it and swabbed since it didn't fit through the conveyor.

  3. Just wondering if it is safe to go to the beach at cahuita national park.. is it safe to take a cab there and also is it easy to get a cab back??? thank you..

I realize that this was posted quite a while ago, but my family stayed in the town of Cahuita for a couple of days in April 2016, and everything seemed quite safe, although the surf was fairly rough at times. We got to the hotel we stayed at in town via a private ground transfer, staying a few blocks from the National Park/beach, and just walked, so I'm not sure about taxis. You can walk along the beach itself, or along a path just inland from the beach, where you have a good chance of seeing monkeys and other wildlife. There are guides for hire near the National Park entrance, but they were not high-pressure in trying to sell their services. The National Park did not have an official entrance fee; it was by donation.
