  1. when we recently left Majesty at Canaveral, self disembark time was 730-830, I think, and bring your own bags.

If you leave later you will bump into everyone else already out and about in lounges waiting for the assigned call times, AND have all your bags with you in tow. At least your cabin attendant will be trying to kick you out of the cabin, and send you to the lounges for waiting.

They did the usual assign groups and call by number disembarkment, and when we walked to customs all the ship-collected luggage still had not been unloaded onto the terminal floors.

  2. We sailed 8/12 - 15th, premium package worked fine on CocoCay.

I made frequent purchases at the bar between main beach and jet ski rentals. They have cash registers setup, and scans always showed 0 for beers and Captain and Coke. Didn't attempt to buy anything over $12 though.:D

There were servers walking around with souvenir glasses and frozen drinks, I didn't try those.

We paid in advance for our drink package and our seapass card had PP stamped on it when it was given to us.

  3. We just did Majesty couple weeks ago. We used the Radisson "Park Port Canaveral" service, shuttles run very often, they brag they are only off-port choice actually on the peninsula.

As for formal, we saw some suits/ties for late dinner, but no tuxes. On the 3 day the 'formal' night was Saturday while docked in Nassau. They didn't enforce dining room wear, we saw several shorts. But we were in sport shirts/pants, ladies in nice sun dresses or smilar, and fit right in.

As for tips, I left ours on, and tipped extra to those doing above and beyond for us. had a great wait staff in dining room, great server in Schooner bar.

  4. I just had 2105, inside, middle of the row, very quiet. 2079 would be little more forward towards the elevators if I remember right. Was only 3 days, so didn't get completely used to layout. Quiet EXCEPT the first night when music was on deck 3 lounge area, that was the only night it was there.

  5. Don't understand your ??? either. You don't have to go.

I didn't go, but was wondering what I missed; what it was in others opinions. That's all, was just asking why it existed. Evidently RCI sees a benefit in having that space, so some folks are paying the charge; otherwise they would shut it down.

Appreciate the info, now I'm better informed for my next trip.

  6. Not trying to entice flamers just wondering....

Recently back from Majesty of the Seas, and saw the Johnny Rockets restaurant, with a $6.95 cover charge. Other than shakes, what benefit is there from paying the cover? Our group of 4 didn't go in, since we couldn't justify the $28 charge, so I'm asking in advance of the next trip.

I understand the food quality is better, burgers, fries, onion rings, and unlimited, but all the other food was unlimited as well.

So just asking. I did read on here that you don't have to pay cover if you just want to get a shake to go, which would have been nice to know. And with premium drink package, free soft drinks wouldn't have mattered either.

    Thanks for sharing your opinion.

  7. We were on the MOS weekend before last, and had a note left by cabin steward advising water system was under maintenance from Midnight to 3 am Sunday morning, and toilets/showers etc would be unavailable.

Evidently they didn't get everything fixed as planned.

As for not boarding early, we used up a lot of our drink pacakage between noon and sailing time, but that was us. Late departure won't hurt any stops, but bummer for those arriving early at port, as there is very little to do nearby.
