  1. Loving these pics! My claustrophobia would have me bouncing off the walls in a cabin the size you had.

Our cabin on the Norway, on B level, had a porthole, 2 twin beds, an art deco vanity (very cool) a bathroom literally larger than the one I have at home and it had a tub. I used the tub once as I nearly got stuck in it...it had high sides and was rather narrow. The rest of the cruise was showers for me. All this for $356 for 7 days in 2002. The flight to Miami was extra and the cab ride to the port scared the life out of me. It was worse than NY cabs. Memories...

  2. Norris I am enjoying this stroll back in time so much that I want you to write a book. The world needs to see your work.

I had my first cruise on Premier's Seabreeze in 1998 and it was docked next to the Song of America. I said to myself I want to sail on that ship too. I never did but I did have 6 other cruises to enjoy the Regal Empress, Pacific Princess, Norway, Grand Princess and Voyager of the Seas. I was on the Seabreeze twice in case you were counting. Loved them.

Anyway, thanks for the time and care you take with your reviews.

  4.

I'm very sorry to see you say you can no longer cruise.

I am glad though that you feel you can experience a cruise vicariously and in this case, one of mine. We hope to take many more-only 2 a year max for the next 5 years but hopefully more beyond that. But who knows?

    Keep on reading.

    Norris

Norris I suppose another cruise could be in my future but it would involve more energy than I have to deal with my oxygen company, a scooter would be needed and several sherpas would be needed to carry everything. It's easier and less expensive to read at this point. So I shall.

  5. Carol it's great to have you joining us. You look like you are really enjoying yourself on this cruise.

I am grateful for all Norris' hard work with the reviews as I am no longer able to cruise myself so I get to live vicariously and I get to laugh while doing so. I can't wait for you both to retire so we can cruise more often. ;)

  6. Ahhhhh relief. ;) Now I don't have to obsessively check for updates but I will have to patiently wait for January which I will happily do. I can't not have a Norris ramble to read.

Your narrative and incredible pics are fabulous. I just wish you both were retired so you could travel more and we could have more rambles to read.

Thank you so much for all the hard and time consuming work you put into you reviews. It is much appreciated. Barb

  7. Norris, comment # 457 is where Positano popped up not that it really matters to the story. It just gave me a bit of a giggle.

Have no fear, I am paying attention and I am following along; I'm hanging on by my fingernails waiting with bated breath for the end so I can re-read it in its entirety. Once that is done I will try to patiently wait for the next review.

I have read all your reviews and blog so I am well acquainted with your Ocean Princess ramble as well.

I'm missing Carol stopping in with her comments. I hope all is well with her?

  8. Hi Norris, Barky reporting in to let you know I'm following your review. I'm not known as a patient person (since I got my drivers license) but I'm trying to remain calm and wait for each segment. Believe me it ain't easy. I plan on rereading the entire review once it is finished but I will continue to torture myself in the interim. The narrative, the pics and videos and the humor are all worth my discomfort. I have yet to find a better reviewer and I doubt I will. Thanks for all your efforts.

  9. I was just finishing up my reading of all your reviews and preparing myself for a long wait for another review when I came upon your note regarding your Star cruise in Sept. It would appear that that is about to happen so I will wish you both a Bon Voyage.

Many thanks for allowing me to vicariously cruise with you. I haven't been on a ship since 2005 which is what led me to read reviews this summer. I hit the jackpot with your reviews Norris. Absolutely fabulous! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication and your terrific photographic skills.

Again, Bon Voyage. See you soon.
