  1. Well, does anyone believe this? Do we take them at their word and roll the dice on our Alaska cruise scheduled for September, 2021? It’s a boatload of money to lose if they go under. We took advantage of our FCC and 20% off sale and got a heck of a deal. Alaska is #1 on my bucket list, but I’m not sure we want to chance it....

I'm on the April 12th Cruise and it's baffling me that they've not cancelled it yet..  Do you think they haven't to see how many people canx on their own beforehand?  From what I've read, you don't get as much compensation if you do this and get more if the cruise line cancels the cruise..  I guess it's their way of saving money in the long run....

Agreed...We're sailing on April 24th and NCL has only canceled cruises up to 4/11.  Believe we, we're waiting until 48 hours before to cancel-we're going to get as much out of it as we can.

Yeah. I feel like we're all in a great big game of Chicken with the cruise lines. They're hoping more people will voluntarily cancel so they can save money.

I'm waiting until the last 48 hours before I cancel!

  3. We're due to sail to Bermuda on 4/24 out of Boston.  No way this cruise is happening but NCL has yet to cancel anything past 4/11.  I read today that Bermuda has closed its borders for 2 weeks.  We won't even have peaked by then...

  4. The way I look at it is this:  Cruise ships are a petri dish breeding all sort of things.  Norovirus, coronavirus, any other random every day virus, the common cold.   Each time you go on a cruise, you subject yourself to the risk of catching something. You don't put yourself in the middle of thousands of people and get surprised if/when you get sick.   This is our 8th cruise and, so far, we have not gotten sick. We're sailing on the Gem out of Boston on 4/24 and are planning (as of today) to go.  It's gratifying to have some flexibility up to 48 hours before we sail to change our minds.  I don't think we will but we will take a wait and see attitude.  If the  ports begin to refuse disembarking, we'll have no choice.  I would imagine when this happens, the cruises will be cancelled anyway.
