  1. Tiggertastic, thank you so much...exactly what I wanted to hear.  We are definitely walking off and have a car already ordered.  We are in a suite so I know we are able to walk off first (at least that is what I think I have been told.  I am on overload with so much great information.) 🤗

Our friends are in AQ and they will be walking off, hopefully as quickly as us.

    Thank you again!

  2. Thanks Phoenix_Dream for saying that about early flights.  BA backed our flight on disembarkation morning in Barcelona next month from 10:55am to 10:05am.  That 50 minutes is a big difference that early and we are definitely walking off but we do feel worried about a time crunch.

  3. We are both over packers. My husband just says he keeps his eyes down when dragging all the luggage and don't make eye contact with people staring at all the suitcases. He figures if they are judging us we will not ever see 99% of them again after our cruise.

    Too funny!! :'):')

  4. You might be thinking of Luggage Forward vs Luggage Valet. You can send your bags directly from the ship to your final destination using Luggage Forward ... but it is PRICEY!! Some friends used it when they were touring Europe after a cruise and didn't want to haul all their luggage from place to place. I think it cost them about $600....maybe not what you were interested in after all.

Thank you for the info...that would be great but yep a bit pricey. :D

  5. Correct. Luggage Valet is a service offered for disembarking passengers.

When leaving a ship at Port of Miami passengers may be able to take advantage of this service if they meet all the criteria— airline, flight time, destination.

    Thank you!

  6. Luggage Valet is available from the Port of Miami and Port Everglades to the Miami Airport.

It is your arrival port and departure airport (along with the airline and departure time) that determines your eligibility for Luggage Valet.

I may be wrong, but I am almost certain that Luggage Valet is not available in any port outside of the US.

    Have a great trip!

:( Oh heck, not the answer I was hoping for but appreciate you giving me clarity.

I am sure we will have a wonderful trip!

  7. I understand that Luggage Valet is availabe for Miami Airport. We are flying from Barcelona to DFW but we have a layover in Miami and I understand we will retrieve our luggage and go thru Customs in Miami.

My question: since we will be retrieving our luggage in Miami will we be eligible for Luggage Valet to Miami?

    Thank you :)

  8. Hello all...we are booked for Canada/New England on Sunday, Sept 10 and wondering how Irma is going to affect our cruise. And what possible changes could they make on this particular 14day itinerary?

Any thoughts? I realize it will probably Friday before they know the direction of Irma and we leave on Saturday.

  9. i hope this is the appropriately board for asking a question regarding Celebrity and Cape Liberty.

Flying to EWR the day before sailing and departing EWR the day of disembarkation. Staying at a hotel near airport. Does Celebrity offer any airport or hotel shuttles /transfers for Cape Liberty passengers? Thanks!

We are flying into EWR the day before our cruise and staying at a hotel near the airport also, Uber is booked (except for the small vehicle) as of last week and so is Limo.com. I spoke with our hotel and they said we could get a taxi the day of the cruise to the port. Hopefully they are correct.

    Hope this helps you...:)

  10. Not a nice experience for us . All very large busses with people pushing and cutting in line and then the bus leaves when it is full and it goes to all the terminals at the airport. At each stop you wait for the driver to find the luggage for those getting out. We will not do it again

A real insight...thanks to your viewpoint I booked Dial7 for a car 🚗 so I have no worry!

    Again, thank you.

  11. Not to worry, 12:45 is plenty of time. Remember the person you quoted said they were one of the last off the ship. Bayonne Joe who posted on this thread is sort of an expert on this port and I was a Police Officer in Essex County where the airport is located. Have also done the Bermuda run several times. Last year I did self disembarkation and was home in Pa, 170 miles away by 10AM. No problem at all.

    Thank you Don!

  12. This past Sunday the transfer passengers got off pretty early. I was one of the last off and was in my car by 10:15.

If it all goes well you would be fine, especially if you are doing the 1st class/pre-check security lines. You just have to consider the "what if' factor of the ship getting in late, customs having issues etc.

Thank you. I really thought a 12:45pm flight would be plenty of time...now I am a bit worried that it might be a bit tight.

Is there still an option of walking your bags off earlier?

I would rather arrive very early at airport than be worried of the "what ifs". :o

  13. We've flown out of EWR several times this year and TSA lines haven't been a problem. Terminal C is always the most congested. Never hurts to have TSA-pre though.

Thank you...and we do have TSA pre-check. Wondering if it would be faster to have a private transportation vs Celebrity transfer, any thoughts?

  14. We are thinking of using Celebrity transfer to EWR and flight time is 12:45, does this seem appropriate time to disembark, retrieve baggage, customs, Celebrity transfer and get thru security? (We are flying First Class so we should be in shorter security lines.) I understand security can be long at Newark...

    Thank you for any suggestions...:)

  15. My daughter, two grandies and myself booked for a cruise, both grandies were diagnosed with strep throat 4 days before our cruise. Canceled pvt ins and had all our money...minus cost of ins of course within 2 weeks. Extremely pleased. I always use the same company.

  16. c - I found most, if not all, of that information after signing in to the website going to "Cruise Planner", where it shows 'most' everything I have purchased or received as part of my sailing. Even the upgraded beverage package is showing along with things I have chosen to add/purchase.

    bon voyage

I can't find "Cruise Planner", I can find "online check in" at the bottom of the page...where might I look for Cruise Planner, please.

    Thank you
