Find the cruise you want at this time even if sold out and go look exactly when ever final payment is due for that cruise…. Some rooms will open on that date almost guaranteed.

I have FTTF and am wondering if I can carry on a larger suitcase instead of leaving it with the porters? I know our room is supposed to be ready when we get on the ship so I should be able to go down and leave it there. I thought it might be nice to have our evening clothing (going to the steak house) and the kids swimsuits and "kid gear" already with us and that really doesn't all fit in a carry on so thought this might be easier. Or will I get funny looks and wth that isn't a carryon!
Thanks. I googled for this, but didn't really find any info beyond passengers after 2 have to carry on.

We sailed on the magic for the first time this July 2017. I needed internet during the trip for school so I paid for the premium internet. It barely functioned during the 7 day cruise. I could barely send or receive an email let alone access my courses (simple HTML things not requiring high speed). The carnival website and app and facebook didn't really function the whole time either.
Carnival admitted there was an issue with the WIFI during our cruise.
Was my experience the exception or the rule? We are sailing again February 17 and I am not certain if I want to "waste the money" for internet access again. If it works its 100% worth it to me, so anyone recently been satisfied with the service? I 100% understand it's slow, but it was unusable during our cruse in July. 20 Minutes to read a 2 line email unusable.
Thanks for the info!

We were offered an upgrade from a prime cove balcony that sleeps four and is under a quiet part of the ship to a balcony right under one of the busiest public areas of the ship for 150$... (on the magic)... no thanks I like to sleep at night.

Depends on where your Cove is. we love the cove, but we once had one under the galley that sounded like a bowling alley above us all night we didn't sleep for 6 days straight. It was so bad even the guy who came to listen to it couldn't believe it. Carnival comped us 250$ worth of shore excursions and gave us 15% off our next cruise.... and that wasn't enough to make it ok in my mind as not sleeping for those days completely ruined my vacation I still to this day regret even getting on that boat it was like torture being woken up ever 5-10 minutes from 10pm on. Let me put it this way hubby is military and can sleep through gun fire etc... even he could not sleep through this.

I wish I got a spa offer I'd be all over it! I got a regular balcony upgrade offer to deck 9 in a cabin right behind the elevators... no thanks I'll keep my prime location cove balcony with its amazing views.

it was so bad during our cruise in july they refunded what we paid for the premium package. It didnt work 95% of the time.

Cove balconies are only on deck 2. Any deck higher than 2 is not a cove balcony

there is no plexiglass on coves, almost all are directly below lifeboats... which is a good thing.. its like having a awning on a house... it's always shady making it more pleasant to be on the balcony. also no on can look down into your balcony. They are the closest balconies to the water.
BUT what ever you do DO NOT book one under the GALLEY. My husband is in the military, he can sleep through live fire... he and I, despite a white noise generator could not sleep at all in our room below the galley. It sounded like a bowling alley above our heads with crashes so loud and hard the walls would shake lasting from about 11 pm or midnight until 5-6 am minimum if they ever stopped at all. It was so bad carnival comped our 350$ worth of shore excursions and gave us 20% off a future cruise.... we would have rather had sleep ty.

ours was in a large conference or meeting type room. but there was not enough chairs for everyone by a long shot. so get there a bit on the early side to ensure a chair.

I'm partial to cove balconies personally as long as they are not under the galley. It's one short elevator ride up to the lido and the balcony is 30% larger and only looks out over the ocean which is just feet from you. Can even feel the spray sometimes. As an added bonus the lifeboats shade the balcony making it more usable for those with fair skin who are prone to burning :)

If you are in a cove make sure you are not under the galley ... we were just barely under the galley in 2371 and we didn't sleep for 6 days because of it. Sounded like people were dropping huge heavy pots above us constantly at night. My husband is in the military and can sleep through life fire and he couldn't sleep through this!
