  1. It was good news, did not sink or drift away:D

The Star this year makes me reluctant to book Asia next year.[/QU

Just back from the Star and there was a problem with a lot of the toilets not working and being shut down on Saturday mainly in the public areas.

  3. I always fly to the cruise departure port two days ahead of the cruise departure date and am going on the Holland American this year Jan. 17th leaving from Boston to Tampa. This storm has me wondering now if even two days ahead is enough. What happens to people who miss the departure, do they just lose all the money they paid for the cruise or is there some consideration for weather delays?

  4. I just thought this had to be started so let the discussion begin! haha:D

I was on the Jan 15th Eastern Carribean cruise on the FOS and it is really a great ship. The food was good and the service was excellent all over the ship. I thought with over 3000 people on the ship it would be very crowded but the ship is so big we never felt crowded at all. I had pre booked all the shows so we could get in early to them . We also had the my time dining and that worked out well. I only had lunch in the dining room once, all the other times we ate lunch in the Windjammer which had a very good selection. At night we ate in the dining room where the service was excellent. Getting off the ship we carried off our own luggage which worked out great as we were off the ship at 6:30. All in all a very enjoyable trip.

  5. Thanks. We'll be on the Veendam next Feb. so maybe it'll be available there by then. We've gotten used to it on Princess and like it, as we often just want a table for two.

Having just returned from a Princess cruise I found out that even with the anytime dining I was told about 3 times that no tables for two were available and I had to sit with other people. Actually though, I enjoyed it for a change of pace.
