We've done eight cruises and have never received any freebies or upgrades or anything.

Cool. Was it the American Table Menu or the older menu? I would love to go on the Legend also. I like the layout of the Spirit Class. The Enchanted Forest definitly seems like a cool area.
It was the older menu. I liked the layout of the ship, too, but it was beginning to show signs of needing to be updated.

That is ashame Bitter and Blanc isn't available on shorter cruises. That and the chateaubriand are the two things I miss most from the old menu.
We had the chateaubriand on the Legend in April.

We were on the Legend in April and had Bitter and Blanc. I did see some new desserts, but mostly the same things we've had before. This was an 11 day cruise may be why we saw some new things.

I have a cousin that had booked a small suite on a cruise and when they got there, they put them in one of the VIP suites that is not even listed to purchase. I saw the pictures, and it was HUGE! They didn't have to pay any more for it.

I did not like the Sunshine. My least favorite Carnival ship so far. And one of the main reason is that there is a hallway we walked several times to get where we were going that had no outside view at all. It looked like we were walking through a crew portion of the ship or something. When I think of that ship, that is all I picture is that hallway. (But I am claustrophobic, so that may be why) I can't even remember what the lobby looked like. It was crowded and we could never get chairs on the lido deck.

I have been fussing to myself about it the last few days. I don't like it at all, and it quits working so often, then I have to start all over.

So far, all the entertainment has been very similar on all our Carnival cruises. The Sunshine has been my least favorite ship, but that is just my opinion. And I know on the Legend last month, you could use the sauna without paying anything.

In Honolulu last month we had a 1:00 to 1:30 check-in time. I had read on the website and on our tickets that you would not be allowed in before your check-in time. We got there about 12:45 thinking we would wait about 15 min. before we could go in, but they did not go by check-in times at all. The line to go through security was the longest we have ever been on. A man working there said they were not checking times. We didn't get on the ship until after 3:00.
