Correction, she was not interested in being helpful.

Just called carnival protection plan office, very unhelpful, but I did find out that once severe warning,watches are issued,48 hours prior to cruise I can file a claim.She was interested in helping in anyway.I guess I will file a claim then.

The plan has a paragraph that states"Other covered Events"stating,among other things that will be covered.National Oceanic and atmospheric Administration issues,A severe weather Warning or watch en route to,or at,your port of embarkment within 48 hours of your scheduled departure.What do you all think?

We purchased carnivals vacation protection plan and don't want to risk getting caught at a hotel to ride out hurricane.We are scheduled to fly in sept 8th.I called carnival and they couldn't assure us we wouldn't get caught at hotel.Does anyone know when we can safetly cancel to get our refund back?We are first time cruisers and not big travelers.Thank you for any help

So we're on carnival conquest on the 9th. This is my first cruise. Does carnival usually give you good notification if the cruise is canceled? The way its looking if it hits Florida its going to be around the 9th. I'm worried because we're flying in the 8th and staying in ft lauderdale. I don't wanna fly all the way there to just be stuck in a hurricane.

Same for us,first cruise flying in fort Lauderdale the 8th on conquest,sure don't want to be stuck in florida during hurricane.Also the worry for the people of florida and other areas this might affect.

We leave the 9th from Fort Lauderdale on the Conquest for our first cruise. I am watching this hurricane like a crazy woman. I know I can't change the weather but I did so much research into our ports!!!

 

I hope she doesn't cause to much distruction or ruin to many vacation plans.

We are sailing in three weeks,I have check for or five times daily for 4 months,still haven't caught it.Conquest.
