Hi! I'm new to cruising, have only done one 7 day cruise. Right now we are planning a trip from Canada to Japan. I'm watching 3 different companies that run a route in September (HAL, NCL and Celebrity). I love how you cruise b2b, and like you I am trying to wait till the last minute to get a great deal, but do you know when is the right time? I'm just over 4 months out, but still hoping to get pre-paid gratuities or some other good deal. Seems like there are still plenty of cabins left on all lines. But where is the sweet spot when you know you are getting the best possible deal.

    Thanks!

  2. I like the idea of traveling around the world by only boat. And I'm piecing together cheap cruises which will be half or less what a RTW cruise would run. Lastly I want to be able to stay in Asia for months. So I guess I should have mentioned that time is not an issue.

  3. Hello, so I spent 21 years in the Air Force and left with a love of travel and a fear of flight. So I'm trying to get to S.E. Asia and back home by boat. I'm having trouble with the Middle East portion and was hoping for some advice or routes you know about or have taken. I can get from the east coast to Europe easily it seems at any time. I've found a reasonably priced cruise from Genoa to Abu Dhabi Dec 6th, and then Abu Dhabi to Singapore Jan 14th. But that strands me in Abu Dhabi for 20 days. Anyone know of a later route to the middle east from anywhere in Europe? I've never been on a cruise so if you have any other advice, I'd love to here it. I'd like to stay a few months the in Asia and then I'll need to find a route on to the west coast or back home the way I came.

    Thanks in advance!

    Melissa
