  1. Plenty of parking spaces, so no worries there. Getting off and leaving early is more to do with wether you self assist or check bags and when your group is called to get off the ship. Traffic around the port is variable, but Sunday morning traffic is not usually terrible, unless there is a Ravens game that afternoon or special event going on.

  2. Follow-up question. Do you know WHY FTTF is not offered on Journey's cruises? A new cruiser is asking, since they were wanting to purchase for their Hawaii cruise next year.

FTTF is available on Journey cruises, as I purchased it for my Journey cruises in January . I purchased it in March so it was available.

  3. I am sailing Magic on Saturday. I just received this email yesterday saying that bringing your own water and soda IS NOT allowed. It does say specifically say bottled water and soda, but maybe they mean cans also. You can argue semantics, I suppose.

I don't bring my own soda or water aboard, just passing along the information. Perhaps this is a new policy change to include no more sodas allowed to be brought on board???

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

    CARNIVAL MAGIC

    Dear Guest,

Your cruise is right around the corner and we want to provide you with important information regarding your embarkation experience.

    • If you haven't done so already, visit us at www.carnival.com/OnlineCheckin to complete your Online Check-in and select your Arrival Appointment. Please plan to arrive within your appointment time as guests who do not arrive timely can expect to wait longer.

    • Final boarding: In preparation for departure, all guests must be on board the ship no later than 60 minutes prior to the published sailing time or they will not be permitted to sail.

We also want you to know...

    • Checked luggage service is only available until 2 hours before the ship's published departure time. Guests arriving after this time will be responsible for taking their bags on board.

    • To enter the terminal, present your boarding pass and a government-issued picture ID (applicable to all guests 16 years and older), and citizenship documents (including any necessary visas).

    • Guests are not allowed to bring bottled beverages, i.e., water, sodas and other non-alcoholic drinks on board. Please review our beverage policy located in our FAQs at help.carnival.com.

    • Staterooms are ready at 1:30 PM. Guests who are scheduled to arrive before this time usually check their bags curbside so they can be free to enjoy lunch, which will be served on Lido Deck 10 and Deck 5 Ocean Plaza until 3:00 PM.

    • Only mobility devices operated with gel, dry cell, absorbed glass mat, or lithium-ion batteries will be allowed on board. Batteries can only be recharged in a guest's stateroom. Due to safety considerations, mobility devices cannot be stored in corridors or public areas. Guests must be prepared to collapse their devices so they can be safely stored in a way that allows for safe exit from their stateroom. If bringing a scooter, please bring one that can collapse or fold so that it may be stored in the closet or underneath the vanity area. Once on board, guests may contact their room steward for assistance.

We are looking forward to welcoming you aboard for a FUN and memorable cruise vacation.

    Sincerely,

The letter is poorly written. According to the link cans and cartons of non alcoholic beverage can be bright on board.

  4. The only time I've seen this was last year on Freedom on a sea day. I ordered a grey goose bloody mary at the casino bar. The bartender told me they had a special on belvedere vodka...extra shot until noon. I told him I was on cheers. He said it was fine. It would be one drink. I had that and then got another just before noon. I haven't heard of this deal since then though.

Yep just of the Pride, same deal till noon. Tip your bartender and it will last all day .;);)
