  1. So reading some of the scenarios I had a thought. You go to a near empty bar and the bar tender quickly ids you because of your medallion. The bar tender, trying to make conversation says, "Gee Mr. Smith, I see you have been spending a lot of time in your cabin bathroom......are you having GI problems? Do you think you should go see the Doctor." Just saying :)

This is, without a doubt, going to stick in my head every time I approach a bartender on the ship.....I will start to laugh, and he or she will think I am really strange. Even so, thanks for the best laugh I have had today!

  2. To all of you who are posting how it is going: BIG THANKS!

I am in a selected cabin for the 11/26 sailing, so I appreciate any forewarning you can give.

Sounds like they brought in the big-guns (Jan, et.al.) to add to the decorations.

I am so excited to go, but I think I will spend time hiding form the people who weren't selected since many of them are really upset and I don't want me having fun with it to make me a target for their anger.

  3. We are on the 11/26 cruise on the Regal and are in one of the ***** rooms. We have had the first contact to establish our wristband sizes and told we would have a second contact, but that hasn't happened yet. No ***** has shown up in our mailbox yet, but we are still hopeful; we did read a post by someone on the 11/18 cruise roll call that they wouldn't get theirs until they were at the port. That means we on the 11/26 may be the first to get the OMs via mail.

  4. Without intending to be rude, I hope those who are going to be wet-blankets about not having been chosen to participate can have the chance to stay home. For all of us who are going on the cruise to be "going on a cruise", regardless of being chosen or not, can certainly do without your negative energy in our midst.

  5. I know this may sound trivial, but there is one thing I will miss with the new medallion thingy: the color-coded cruise cards that most folks wear on a lanyard while on the ship. It has been fun to be able to tell who is totally new to Princess (the blue cards), who is a "sophomore" (the gold cards), who is getting to be a little more advanced (the ruby/red cards), who is a genuine seasoned Princess traveler (the platinum cards), and who is the envy of us all (the black cards). Now we will all, based on the pictures I have seen, have a blue medallion that most won't even be wearing in plain sight. I like the technology aspect, just will miss the fun of the card-colors.
