I'm not sure if you read the information or not, but the family cabana has a four adult limit.

This is the trouble - I can’t seem to find any information. Thanks ever so much for your help. Our UK contact at HAL suggested anyone we invite can come into the Cabana but didn’t say anything about a limit.

Can I please ask for help from people who have rented these Cabanas before?

What are the hours that you can access your cabana? Can you access early/late for sunrise/sunset?

Also we will have the drinks package, will the stewards bring any drink you order within the package or is there a set retreat drinks menu?

I'm surprised at the lack of info I can find online about it. We are travelling 3 couples together from the UK to the Caribbean for a week on the Oosterdam. I'm thinking of booking a family one for all of us. They look to be better located considering the ships have the glass on the sides above the railing.

Any input would be greatly appreciated xxx

I'm getting the impression you pick these up then set them up yourselves where you find a space. Think I may just book a clam!

Just come across this thread too while trying to find out the difference between the sun shelter and clam shell! Take it we are none the wiser as yet? I hate that the HAL excursion planner doesn't actually have a photo of the shelter! X

Are the cushioned loungers that are in the retreat only in the retreat?

We have 6 sea days in total out of the 15 nights. I booked a guarantee SY grade so fingers crossed we'll get higher!! ��

We are on Westerdam for the first time next March, I did Zuiderdam 10 years ago and Eurodam this year so its very interesting to read the reviews.

As new passengers to the Westerdam we are expecting the usual Vista class style and layout which we have had from Zuiderdam, Eurodam, QE and QV.

And its my bucket list cruise to the panama canal. Cant WAIT!

Hubby and I are on Westerdam for Panama Canal for my 40th in March 2018 for my 3rd HA cruise, his 2nd. I'm looking into and contemplating Cabanas. We have booked a Signature Suite so have a balcony which will obviously be covered. These are the old Deluxe Verandahs right? Is there a real benefit to the cabana's? Is it one glass of sparkling wine per guest per day or are they more generous? Been quoted retreat $599 and family retreat $849 for the voyage (15nts). I figured out a glass of sparkling each per day would be about $210 total for the cruise. Water and other items on the list are great but strawberries pointless as I am allergic. Trying to decide if the $400 on top of what we might pay for wine is worth doing?

We are seasoned Cunarders so are not used to the package world that is available on Holland! Seems without a whirlpool or pool in the vicinity it may not be?

Would you bother with the 'new' Cabanas on Westerdam for Panama Canal? What is the general consensus? We will be ashore on port days so probably wont benefit from the discounted spa services.
