  1. The PTZtv webcam person has been doing a really good job of zooming in on the ships in the last few weeks,

    especially

    .

Is there someone actively controlling the camera during the day? I need to tune in more often, but work gets in the way :')

  2. I just treat myself to a pedicure, then the beautician disposes of them for me! One of the little luxuries of cruising! [emoji483]

I completely agree! ;) If in room grooming is necessary, I generally use a tissue to collect and dispose of the trimmings. Especially because there isn't a trash bag in the bins, and that stuff can get everywhere!

  3. Thanks for posting that video Fouremco! I am sure is a disappointment to not have deck chairs there, but I have a feeling there are plenty of outdoor sitting options to enjoy elsewhere. One thing that surprises me, however, is how narrow the walkway is in places. Still glad they have the full walk around deck!

  4. Thanks for posting that picture frankc98376! ms Eurodam is my favorite ship and I have never seen the crew on that part of the ship during docking. How did you get such clear resolution? Whenever I try to zoom in on the Juneau camera it's always fuzzy.

  5. Ahoy there!

I am already counting down the days until my Norse Legends Cruise aboard ms Nieuw Statendam in May 2019 :D When I cruise to Alaska, I always have a map of the Inside Passage, which I bought onboard. I definitely want to have a map for this new adventure to Norway! Does anyone know if they have maps of the fjords for purchase in the gift shop? If not, any recommendations on a good map to bring along?

    Thank you 😊

  6. Ahoy there!

I first sailed on ms Eurodam in August 2017, and just returned from another cruise on the ship this past weekend. I noticed several great improvements throughout the ship from the the most recent Dry Dock in April:

Deck 1 - The Journeys Ashore desk was removed and replaced with several Future Cruise Consultant stations. The Atrium Bar was also complete removed and new seating was added.

Deck 3 - The Photo Gallery was updated with new computer kiosks.

Deck 11 - The Crow's Nest received a complete overhaul! The dark wood and older finishings and large bookcases were removed, and replaced with lighter wood and chrome finishings. The Exploration's Cafe was removed, and an EXC Desk (Journey's Ashore) was added in it's place (don't worry, the Crow's Nest bar has the same coffee service). Several interactive displays were added, so guests could explore each port and EXC offerings.

Another thing I noticed were upgrades to the Restrooms throughout the ship (I assume the Men's rooms were updated lol). Previously these were predominately red in color, and have been updated to neutral colors and marble finishings. In addition, it appeared they had updated the carpeting in several areas.

Overall, I found the renovations to ms Eurodam to be in very good taste. I have read several reviews of the updates being "too modern" and "not in line with the traditional HAL appearance." However, with the arrival of ms Koningsdam and ms Nieuw Statendam, I think it is important to blend the newer aesthetics of these ships with the traditional looks of ships (such as the ms Eurodam) in order for HAL to present a unified brand across their fleet. In my opinion, the renovations completed in the recent Dry Dock have certainly accomplished this aboard ms Eurodam.
