  1. So, I did a search for packing list and this was the second thread on the list. I happen to be super organized and an excellent packer but I would be that person to pack everything but the kitchen sink and forget socks or undies because I over thought lol. I can appreciate wanting to be prepared. In my experience, though, I was getting stressed out over packing and ended up packing too much and having to keep all that stuff in order in a small cabin. On the ship you end up doing a lot of relaxing in a bathing suit and cover up and not as much outfit changing everyday as people think they might. Remember, a lot of ports have places to get things if you feel like you MUST have it. Otherwise, decompress, remember your meds and undies and don't worry about too much. It's vacation!

  2. I agree with your outlook. This is what CC people call getting out the popcorn, to sit back and watch these silly arguments go on. And on. And on. These same arguments also get brought up on thread after thread after thread. You can tell with the title in the first post where it's headed.

It's amazing that people get so personal with each other about how much service they want in their stateroom. Why is that something to argue about? Who cares if you ask your steward for towels? Go ahead and ask for a towel if you want one. Or don't if you don't want to.

But people who used to like Carnival when they were sort of poor and couldn't afford better move up in their means and upgrade to a fancy line and then come back to tell the rest of us why we're not allowed to like it anymore because they upgraded. Okay we get that you want Carnival to cease operations now that you have moved on.

But now I'm right there ranting along with the crowd. Good evening to you all my good people and happy travels on the conveyance of your choosing.

    Amen

  3. Some of us like to compare notes with other folks and see if it is just us or a fluke - or an issue that others are seeing.

Let me say that the little rant of complaints I made were my actual complaints and I can come up with more so I get it. I love reading these posts, asking questions and having discussions. Big picture, employers want employees to do more with less. The people who are being asked to clean hundreds of rooms, cook thousands of meals, smile constantly, remember our names and be at our beck and call get paid pennies while we spend thousands to vacation and they do an AMAZING job. On my last cruise I tipped my steward the moment I met him and I cleaned up after myself for the most part. If the issue is with Carnival then write them a long letter and don't cruise them anymore. Maybe they will change. I apologize for going on. Can't help it lol

  4. Ok....I've been reading the tail end of this and I have a statement and a question (considering I'm fairly new). I am in customer service and have obviously been a customer. If I have had a horrible experience like dirtiness, rudeness, disregard for policy or dangerous conditions then I complain to the business I have an issue with in hopes that I will be compensated for my bad experience and to make sure the appropriate people are aware in case something should change.

My question is....why do people come to a website to simply give their negative opinions about policy changes? I don't see much in this post about somebody actually being treated badly.

I don't like getting my sail & sign card at my room. The pizza leaves a little to be desired if you ask me. The casino is smokey. Blah blah blah. I THINK listening to our complaints is what friends are for. I THINK if you want something changed then contact the company. Maybe I don't know the real meaning of a review or the purpose of these websites. As much as everybody is entitled to get what they pay for, the delivery of these complaints sound like demands and ungratefulness.

    I'm just saying...

  5. If you are in a suite you get priority boarding along with diamonds, platinums and FTTF.

Suite guests DO NOT get early cabin access. So even though you board early you will still be waiting with the masses till 1:30.

We are booked into a Grand Suite and I also purchased a Faster To The Fun pass just so we can get into our room early to get rid of our luggage since we carry on. I thoroughly researched this exact scenario because I kept hearing different answers regarding early cabin access for Suite guest. But it isn’t listed as a perk for suites, the carnival rep said it was not a perk, and enough people who booked suites told me they also purchased FTTF so they could get in room early so based on all that information, I would say you will also need FTTF to gain early access to your suite room.
