heels are stupid.
Couldn't agree more. Thanks for the replies will look for a pair of sandals or flats that would be appropriate

We are going on our 1st cruises in June (Eastern Med with MSC and Western Med with RCI) and i need help with planning what shoes to take. Both cruises are 7 nights with 4 nights in Venice and 5 nights in Rome completing our trip. I will have no need for heels or nice shoes for the trip as i will have my 2 and 5 yr olds to chase after. What type of footwear do people pack for formal nights on the boats? Will i just need to suck it up and bring a pair of nice shoes for these nights?

And we're back to square 1! Character dining has been cancelled - apparently added in error to the itinerary :')

Thanks Guys - was just lurking in my online account and saw they've added character dining to my cruise. Was able to book for the morning of his birthday and am so stoked

Hi Guys,
My son will be having his 5th birthday on-board the Symphony of the Seas in June. His birthday falls on the only full sea day of our cruise so we will be on-board the whole day of his birthday.
Does anyone know of anything that Royal Caribbean can offer in order to make his day special? Not sure whether birthday packages are available or if others have celebrated kids birthdays while at sea and after ideas.
Thanks

We did consider a PnP but at that age our older one was too big and didn't sleep well in one. If it doesn't work out probably end up with dad and 4 yr old on the sofa bed and mum and 2 yr old in the bed.

Thanks for all the replies. We decided to go with the double sofa bed. Now just have to wait til next June for our trip 😂

Hi everyone, we are heading off on our 1st cruise in June next year and our kids will be 2 and 4 (nearly 5). For our MSC balcony room we have the option of the 3rd and 4th beds being either a double sofa bed or a single sofa bed and an upper berth.
After any thoughts on what you think would work best given the kids ages and if any one has experience with either configuration.
Cheers

Thanks for all the helpful replies - good to know I don't need to be too formal. Thankfully I get by fine with day to day decisions just fine thanks
