There is a new procedure to get the shareholder benefit (and I haven´t managed to get mine so far).

I sent them the email as described in the posts before, and got this response (quote):

Thank you for contacting Carnival UK, Shareholder Benefits inbox.
If your email relates to a request for your shareholder onboard credit benefit for your upcoming sailing, please visit Shareholder Benefit | Carnival Corporation & plc for information regarding a change in process.

Carnival Corporation has engaged Stockperks to implement a more automated and streamlined process for the processing of shareholder benefits. All information can be found on the link above or by visiting our brand website on the link below.

The Stockperks service is governed by Stockperks’ Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and may be subject to other Stockperks policies and terms.  For information regarding Stockperks’ use and processing of your information, technical support, account setup, and all other questions regarding the use of Stockperks, please contact Stockperks at carnivalcorp@stockperks.com.

Should you have any issues with this process and need to contact us, you can do so by reaching us on the email addresses below (however please note shareholder benefit requests cannot be processed through this channel)

    • P&O Cruises: po.guestservices@carnivalukgroup.com
    • Cunard: customerservices@cunard.co.uk

I downloaded the app, created a profile and found out that they only give you the choice between AIDA cruise lines and Carnival cruise lines. I can´t access any of the other lines, including Cunard. Sent email for help to the Cunard customerservice and hope to get answer from them soon.

Anyway, the app requests to give access to your broker which I will deny. It´s none of Carnival Corp. business which assets I have.

The stockbroker information is on your share certificate.  I found out that Stockperks needed to see this, via the App, to verify proof of ownership before I could access Cunard.

  3. Hi Marc,

I, too, travel solo on Crystal, and have always been made to feel welcome. I'll be doing a back-to-back on Serenity in November/December this year, but am now tempted to book a Christmas/New Year cruise on Silver Muse, as well. I recently received a mailing stating that the single supplement has been reduced to 10% so it seems like a good time to try this line. They're also offering $1,000 on-board credit, but, like Crystal, it's difficult to spend this when everything is included.

I'll let you know if I'm a convert when I return in January.

  4. So pleased you'll be using valuable drinking time to blog, Anne. I trust your judgement, so will be very interested in your first impressions - warts and all. I'm not sure that a river cruise is a good fit for me, but I'm sure it will be more luxurious than my Irrawaddy adventure.

Look forward to hearing all about it - bon voyage. x

  5. For me its dress and dining. If I can not start dinner around 6pm I will not go and if the dress code is too formal I will not go. An example of this is Cunard. Living in NYC I would love to take the Queen Mary however the dress code keeps me off!

I travel to/from NYC on the QM2 every year, and have noticed how the dress code has relaxed. Only three of the evenings are now deemed formal, whereas passengers used to be expected to dress for dinner every evening. It is such an elegant ship that it would spoil the ambiance if it become 'country casual' like so many others. I do recommend it for transatlantic voyages, rather than flying. There is so much to do on board that one doesn't miss the ports of call. My next trip, on 1st September has a 'Fashion' theme to coincide with Fashion Week in NYC.

  6. Crystal use to provide pillow chocolates. However, they would often find them all left in a drawer at the end of a cruise. This was wasteful, so they discontinued them. Suites receive a box of chocolates, and, if requested, chocolate truffle petit fours are always available at the end of dinner. A chocolate fountain with fruit is provided at the Bistro late at night. No need to go without your regular chocolate fix.

  7. I think that's much less true now that Cunard has been moving the clock at noon Eastbound.

    Roy

So pleased to hear that, Roy. I'll be sailing eastbound next month, thinking the downside was losing an hour each night, as I did in June on Crystal Symphony.

  8. I've had an E obstructed-view cabin on Nautica before. Plenty of natural light but no view on sea days. BUT, plenty of tendered ports of call, where the lifeboats disappeared by magic. Be careful when undressing by the window....sometimes you'll be faced by a crew member smiling back at you!
