We’re vegetarian and had a great dinner at Chops. We got soup, salad and sides. Best meal of the cruise!! Only bad thing was that the head waiter personally came to our table to find out why we weren’t indulging in the pork belly or any steak.

Chops Grill was very good. We didn’t like Jamie’s, but we do not usually eat Italian food even on land. We also enjoyed the Solarium Bistro for dinner as an alternative to the MDR or Windjammer. You can book your activities like the North Star once you get on the ship on the app with your phone. The Gift was kind of strange so we left early.

We went on Anthem last September and there was a 70s party but no one dressed up except the cruise staff for it. It was a lot of fun though!!

I’ve only been on Anthem and Liberty and both sailings I saw everything from shorts to tuxedos and ball gowns on formal nights so I would say do what you like. My spouse and I always dress up but that’s because we both wear uniforms every day for work and enjoy the opportunity to have a reason to dress up, but whatever you choose to wear you should blend in!

We like ocean view cabins when we sail with our kids. Most of the time they are out of the cabin at the pool with grandma or the kids club so it doesn’t make sense to spend extra money on the balcony.

Although Galveston may not be the most modern port Liberty is a great ship, especially for kids due to the water play areas and ice rinks. It may not be as fancy as the Oasis and Quantum class ships but it’s definitely just as fun!! So although Galveston is not the most glamorous of ports Liberty is a very enjoyable ship to sail on!
