  1. On both my trip on the Valor in December and my trip on the Imagination last month the social plan worked in iMessage for iPhone to iPhone only... it would not send SMS messages to android phones. It would also work for word messages only. No pictures would go through. Facebook messenger worked well if you send only one picture at a time and it does take a few minutes to send. WhatsApp also worked well. I would suggest having their friends and them all download WhatsApp to be safe though.

  2. We are going to Mr. Sanchos and doing a boat snorkel on our trip to Cozumel. Is there anywhere to buy reef safe biodegradable sunscreen either at mr. Sanchos or possibly cruise pier? It's a carnival cruise so I think it's puerto maya....

  3. I'm curious about the answer to this, myself, but I can tell you from looking at the menu right in front of me, I cannot tell for sure, because often in Mexico, beans are cooked in an animal-based stock and/or with some joint of an animal. So I'm really hoping a vegan or vegetarian has been there and had spoken with a cook or chef there, and found out for sure.

I'm not vegan; I eat many vegan meals, but I'm mostly vegetarian, and for health reasons I do also eat some fish. I don't eat any poultry, pork or red meat. Looking at the menu, the only items that I would be confident enough were free from poultry, pork or meat (specifically) that I would eat them without having some more definitive first- or second-hand info from a cook or chef there are the french fries (and yes I know that they could have been cooked in lard, but I don't think a touristy place like this would do that), and the vegetarian burger (but I would not assume that they're vegan!)

    Oh! And the cocktails!

I emailed Mr Sanchos and this is their reply:

~Our chefs will accommodate your vegan needs upon arrival. They will make special meals for you.

    Kind regards,

    Mr. Sancho's ~

So it looks like they are well versed in this dietary need . :)

Yes I'm hoping someone will be able to tell me also... I guess if all else fails she can certainly drink her lunch..😜

  5. Hello, we are thinking of doing Mr Sanchos AI on our port day in Cozumel. Can anyone confirm that there are some options for my vegan sister? Like are the beans and/ or rice vegan? Will they make a plate of veggie fajitas? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks

  6. My sister and I are taking a cruise on the Valor in December. She is a vegan I am not. From what little research I can find on this subject I know that we will need to talk to the maitre' d when we board the ship for her MDR meals. Does anyone know about the other eating venues? Like I've heard that Guys has a veggie burger but don't know if the beans or rice at the blue iguana are vegan or not. What about the Mongolian wok is that one easily veganized? Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 😊
