  1. Hi I- Cruiser Lars.

I'm loving this thread. I've read quite a few of the questions and answers, but forgive me if this has already been covered.

I'm going on my first ever cruise with P & O

Azura in early September calling at Stavanger, Flam, Olden and Bergen. I have mobility issues and we're taking my 84 year old mum. So far I've looked at the Loen Skylift, the Flam railway and the funicular in Bergen. Would I be better off going with the cruise ships organized tours or going independently? I would love any further suggestions you may have. Thank you.

  2. Thank you for the welcome, all. I've had a look at various posts and am looking at both the cable car, and the funicular in Bergen. Has anyone with mobility issues tried either? I have read that they're both accessible, but it's always good to get a more personal point of view.

I know they both take a matter of minutes to get to the summit, so is there much to do when you get to the top? The cost isn't an issue, as such, as this may be our 1 and only trip together, so we've decided not to scrimp too much if it makes life easier not to.

I'm also really wanting to do the Loen Sky Lift while in Olden(?) So, opinions on that would be welcome.

  3. Hi. I'm going on my first cruise next year to the Norwegian fjords calling at Flam. Stavanger,Olden and Bergen. I'd love some suggestions about what to do and see while visiting the ports. I have limited mobility so nothing too energetic!

This is my first cruise so to say I'm excited would be an understatement. I'm travelling with my sisters and my 84 year old mum on the Azura with P & O. Thank you in advance.
