  1. I noticed yesterday that Royal was updating their website. When I logged in to my cruise planner last night, under balance due it says that I have no balance. This would be nice but it's not correct and I imagine they'll figure it out eventually... I'm sure they want what I owe them.

I checked again this morning and it's the same. I tried to click through to the section where you make a payment, entered my cruise info and got an error message.

I'm in no rush because final payment is over a month away, and as much as a "free" cruise would be great, I know it will get discovered at some point... And I don't want that to be after final payment and lose my cabin, or worse: at the port! Horror!:eek:

If it's not fixed soon I'll be calling customer service well in advance of final payment, but for now I'm wondering if it's just me or system wide?

  2. I think you'll enjoy the Vista. We loved the ship and would go again (or try out Horizon). The pool areas tend to be crowded and loud, but since we only wanted to get some sun, we found plenty of quiet places to sit - aft of the pool deck area, and deck 5 were our favourites. We tried Serenity, but it's the kind of place where you need to claim your seat very early.

The food at the Steakhouse was incredible (as was service), and we really enjoyed the Italian restaurant. As for bars, the Havana bar is great and serves fresh squeezed orange juice. We also found ourselves at Java Blue - the coffee shop, several times a day - for morning specialty coffees, the occasional spiked milkshake, and post-dinner boozy coffees.... we spent a lot of time there!

  3. It's also here on Carnival's website: https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3525/~/enhanced-cheers%21-beverage-program-q%26as

Does the package have to be purchased for the entire week or can it be purchased on a daily/a la carte basis?

The beverage package can only be purchased for the entire voyage at a rate of $49.95 USD per person, per day via Carnival’s website and $54.95 USD per person, per day if purchased once on board. Effective January 1, 2018, the price will be $51.95 USD per person, per day via Carnival's website and $56.95 USD per person, per day if purchased on board.

  4. I posted a similar question on the roll call for this sailing, but thought there might be more answers here. I'm booked on the Vista, February 4, 2018 (Superbowl Sunday). Since my fare rate is the early saver with price protection, I've been checking prices often, and even got some OBC a little while back.

Since the weekend the cruise just dropped off the website. I can't find it when I search for cruises, I had a link saved to the cruise which no longer works, and also tried the Fare Viewer. I can choose the Vista and Feb 4, but then it tells me "no rates available for your selections", no matter which cabin style I select. I also checked travel websites and it's not available there either.

Does anyone know why this is? Would the cruise be sold out already, even though the last I looked there was a wide selection of cabins available? Is this just a glitch? I'm not concerned about my booking as I still have the booking visible in my Carnival account. Just curious why the cruise would seem to disappear.
