This happened to me when I was price shopping while logged in! I didn't even go through the final stages of booking the room. I was able to get it called and fixed but the lady on the phone says it happens pretty frequently. I now do my price shopping in a browser I don't normally use that is never logged in to my cruise planner.

Because of all the different opinions/ situations that have occurred on this I am waiting until I am onboard to purchase. If they confirm I can get a drink with 2 shots then I will buy it, if not I will stick to regular coffee and not waste my money. I would advise others to do the same if they are worried about it. Multiple people have confirmed the price is the same for the card onboard.

Before the "bashing" starts, I was always (17 cruises) with Royal under the assumption that if a category price went down, that you could upgrade if you paid the difference. I was just told by Crown and Anchor that on my cruise (October 29-Allure) that I am not able to upgrade to a "Neighbor Balcony Guarantee" priced (dummy booking) at $1765. without my Diamond Discount. That it is for new bookings only???
Is my thinking wrong??? and if so when did this policy change, and I know this is after final payment but I have changed rooms and categories both before and after final payment..

I was able to upgrade but the total ending up being around $1804 so I had to pay $6 for the upgrade. She also mentioned something about the $1765 price I saw not being valid so I just assumed it was because I had already booked. Maybe try calling again and talking to someone else?
