  1. Likely depends some what on the itinerary on what the age ranges are going to lean more towards and timing. March in the Caribbean will likely be younger solos than others.

And being a young-ish female traveller, I wouldn't automatically be scared if you came in. More likely to strike up a conversation and I'm generally more of an introvert. But you'd be younger than most of the people I'm often chatting with. [emoji6]

  2. Never said that NCL can block anyone from selling. But they can block a provider and its agents if they agree to exclusive rights.

If I had to guess, the provider has an exclusive contract with NCL for all excursions they sell. So even if NCL might not offer a specific tour with the provider on your cruise, the provider may be blocked from offering all of its tours to NCL passengers. Providers often have more than a handful of different tours. If they can't sell any to NCL passengers per their agreement, then SE can't either.

Just trying to give a likely answer to whomever asked it.

It's the only blocked excursion out of everything SE has for the island, so... Still confusing.

Que sera sera. I can book it through other 3rd party sites, but I just liked the good reviews.

  3. Not sure what you are asking exactly; but some operators have non compete clauses with some cruise lines. So if you are with that cruise line they won't let you book with them. Can you just say you are on a different ship? Yes, only problem is that if there's a deposit. If your ship misses the port and the ship you said you were on doesn't; you'll be SOL on getting it refunded.

To be more clear, I'm looking at a catamaran to Stingray City off Grand Cayman + Snorkel stop ($54/$9 deposit). The closest thing Norwegian offers involves a dolphin encounter/swim tied in and a "motorized boat" ($129/$159). So unless NCL is going to add something similar there's no real competition involved between the two. There's also several options with different amounts of snorkeling/adding in the turtle farm that are perfectly available but not the catamaran.

Perhaps something I should contact Excursioneer about.

  4. Somewhat related question: Is there a particular reason why an excursions through SE would be blocked from certain cruise lines? NCL doesn't offer the same thing so it's like like they're competition in any respect. And is there any reason I couldn't just say I was on another ship that will be coming and going at the same date/time?

  5. You re discrediting those in the nursing profession. RNs and LPNs both are well trained and know much more about medical issues than you ever will.

BTW a definition - NURSE: The first person often seen after someone says "Hey hold my beer and watch this".

I wish I could remember where I'd heard it from but...

Doctors do what's right. Nurses do what works. ;)
