  1. We certainly noticed that there seemed to be a lot more groups, some quite large, in Crooners at Happy Hour. That's why we had such a tough time finding a table for two. We find Princess doesn't cater to couples too well, in the bars or in the eateries, with more tables for 4 or more being so prevalent, so I can certainly see why you would enjoy Happy Hour with a big group.

  2. Certainly agree with this. For us, saving a few bucks for lousy drinks during the BOGO Happy Hour was not really worth it. We prefer Crooners, and on our last few trips where BOGO was in effect, it was jammed full and we usually could not even get a seat. If we did find a seat, the waiters were being hugely overworked and the bar was too noisy to be enjoyable. The worst part was that to us, the mixed drinks (usually martinis, etc) were utterly horrible and tasted like nothing we'd ever had before. My wife's Cosmos were barely even pink and didn't seem to even have any alcohol in them. And with BOGO we were required to buy two of each drinks, for double the misery. On our last trip, on the Emerald a few weeks ago, however, there was no BOGO and our pre-dinner ritual at Crooners, in the absence of the huge crowds, was back to normal., that is to say, GREAT. And the martinis in Crooners were as good as they have ever been. Best bar experience we've had on a Princess ship in a few years.

  3. When happy hour was going on , the bar and areas around were PACKED, it took the poor severs FOREVER to get the drinks though. It was real popular and I didn't see it on our last cruise in March.

    Yes extremely popular..what a shame...

  4. No, the happy hours are unfortunately for those who used them, gone. They were being phased out on all the ships and I believe that has been accomplished at this point.
