Jamaica Culinary Tours. $135 per person - so, yes, on the pricey side, but worth it to me. They were great at communicating by email, and allayed my fears when our ship arrived earlier than expected. Time to St. Ann about an hour. We had stops along the way. Check out their FB page and also their website. What I appreciated was that they were willing to be flexible — we arrived the 27th and initially there was no tour planned, but they were fine with holding the tour for two people. They also have a shorter food tour of the Falmouth area that is substantially less.

We did the Food Tour this past December as well and loved it. We did the one that was approximately 5 hours (went from Falmouth to St. Ann). Stopped to see sites, and had five tastings. We had a private car, a driver, and a tour guide. We never felt unsafe, and really felt like we had a better sense of the country rather than staying in the port area.

We (my son and I) did the 2017 Christmas sailing on the Oasis. I'm honestly not sure I'd do it again -- prices were higher for the Xmas sailing, as were onboard specialty dining meals. Don't get me wrong - the ship was beautifully decorated and we had a lot of fun -- I don't think the value was there for the premium that RC was charging.

Following, with interest. Also, I sent you an email. Thanks!

Following along. I'm traveling next month, but with my 14 year old son. I suspect, though, that outside of meals, I will be a solo traveler. Interested in reading the rest of your review.

I'm enjoying your pictures and review. Thanks for the detail on "Cats." I saw it a long time ago and loved it, but am cruising soon with my 14 year old son, so now I'm thinking he should probably read the wiki about it, so that he has the background/context for the musical. I'm glad to read your opinion, b/c I remember reading other threads where other folks really slammed it.

Love this! Am enjoying your pictures and commentary. Thank you.
Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins on board tour
in Royal Caribbean International

I just came off the December cruise on Oasis. When we were lined up for our excursion, I noticed a sign that said "Chichen Itza by Air." I walked over, and they said they had just started doing the trips by air for Chichen Itza. The price was something like $450 per person.
