  1. One entree and as many sides as you want and includes desert. The steak is a large cut and you wont leave hungry. At 19 dollars it a great deal. Got off indy last week and the above menu is spot on. Had a window table and the place was almost empty at 1:30. The 19 dollars also includes the tip..

"Steak is a large cut" "Includes the tip" ...

  2. It has been a few years but we used Moby Dick Tours for Sting Ray City. They picked us up a the dock and drove us to their boat dock past 7 mile beach. After the tour we had them drop us at 7 mile beach and we took a cab back to ship a few hours later. Very good tour.

    Moby has a web site.

    Check with them by email.

I'm a first time cruiser, so I have no idea how long the tender process will take, so I kind of want to play it safe and go through the ship's excursion? I know it costs MUCH more but ... idk, that feeling of knowing FOR SURE I won't miss the excursion makes it worth it ... I think?

  3. For this excursion does anyone know if the bus would be taking us from the port to the destination through the left-side of Grand Cayman (so past 7 mile beach and Turtle Centre) or would it be going through the right-side (past Rum Point Beach)?

As crazy as it sounds, I'm trying to fit stingrays, snorkeling, and dolphins into this 8.5 hour day and I'd be a lucky person if the bus went through the left-side ...

  4. So I'm definitely going to do a stingray tour, but leaning more towards the sandbar option since it's shallower.

My SO wants to be able to snorkel and play with dolphins for a bit so this is where I'm a bit lost because I can find Stingray sandbar + dolphin or stingray + snorkel excursions through RCI but I'm not sure how to add the 3rd activity in there. I was hoping for a snorkel spot that's near the port ... but maybe I'll have to think again

  5. So I can maybe swim, at best 10-15ft away from the shore without feeling like I'm going to swept away by the sea or getting tired?

I was wondering if there's anywhere I can snorkel, with the above information in mind, and still see something in the water like fish or corals? I was looking at places like Eden Rock, Smith's Cove, Cemetery Beach but I don't know if these places would be okay for me?

  6. Great advice, I bought at 20 percent off, but kept checking when it went to 25 percent off , I canceled and rebooked with lower drink package, most of my cruises recently have had drink and dinning package, rather not deal with RCCL for shore excursions , can get much better deals for less money

Is there are a charge if I cancel a package?

Also, this is my first time cruising so I feel scared to book a private excursion because I don't know how long it will take to get off the ship? Would you have a better clue?

  7. Wow, okay you guys are super amazing, helpful, and nice!! I'm so sorry, I honestly thought I didn't get any more responses to this but it looks like I got so much help!!!

After reading through all of the replies I'll stick with DEFINITELY snorkeling at Grand Cayman, seems like a lot more people thought it was beautiful and comfortable which is really what I need xD

I saw a couple of replies talking about taking private excursions, so ... I REALLY want to do that but I'm so nervous that I'll chose a time slot that won't leave us enough time to leave the ship by ... "tender" (forgot the spelling sorry), and so that would mean missing out on the excursion? if anyone can tell me what the process of leaving the ship is like, that'd be great :)

ALSO, if I take an excursion through the ship is it REQUIRED for me to go to the excursion and then come back with them? Because my plan would be go to the excursion site, and take a taxi to go to the 7 mile beach or a restaurant nearby, without going back to the ship?

  8. I have snorkeled both many times and Grand Cayman is the best in my opinion.

Book a tour to Stingray City with an additional snorkeling stop. Stingray City is snorkeling with very tame Stingrays in 4 feet of water. Wonderful experience. Most additional snorkeling stops are in 6 - 10 feet deep water. Water in Grand Cayman is usually very calm and really clear.

Thank you for the response! I don't know if you remember ... but I was looking at GC88: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/shoreExcursions/product/detail/view.do?sourcePage=shorexByPort&ProductCode=GC88&DestinationCode=

If you booked this trip, do you remember if it was at the sting ray city sandbar (where the water was shallow) or was it elsewhere where it's deeper?

  9. Hey everyone, first post here so if I'm doing something wrong please let me know!

I've book a cruise for me and my partner and it will be going to both Grand Cayman and Cozumel in January.

My SO is comfortable at snorkeling maybe 10-15 ft underwater? and me ... not so much but that doesn't matter!

I was wondering if it'd be better to snorkel in one place over the other? I'm looking for a depth that isn't too scary (so probably nothing more than 20ft?), a reef that has a lot of oceanlife (corals, fish, turtles, etc), and was enjoyable of course.

Please let me know if you think one is better than the other for our situation, if you need any more information from me to give a better diagnosis let me know!
