Canberra Newbies

We did Budapest to Amsterdam on Viking in March. Absolutely no water issues although did have an interesting day when the lock workers went on strike. The weather was chilly but didn't deter anyone from braving the weather to enjoy sightseeing. We would definitely cruise early in the season again to avoid all the issues that are now being encountered. Oh, and there weren't that many crowds at attractions so another bonus to cruise in the off season.

I'll be going on my first Viking river cruise in 4 weeks. I'm 49 and my husband is 48. The idea of river cruising has always appealed and despite being told it's only for 'oldies' we were not deterred. We're so looking forward to it and meeting our fellow travelling companions whatever their ages :):)

We chose a river cruise to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We went to a Viking information session and we were definitely the youngest by a long shot (we are in our late 40s) but it didn't deter us from booking. From what I've read on these boards we will have a great time with our travelling companions - regardless of age :-)
