  1. We are cruising the second week of December to Ocho Rios on board Carnival Freedom. My question is how do i get to Turtle Beach from the port? I read several times not to go to the main street. Where do you cut through at that point to get across? TIA

  2. Yes! She’s been at 1 nap since about 11 months. She usually naps 11:30 till about 1:30 ish. I’m thinking that half a day in port then coming back for a nap and lunch is probably the best option. Then if we have time we can always go back out. And we could always push the nap back to a later time and I think she’d be fine.

  3. We are taking a car seat with us for driving to the beach. Luckily she's itty bitty and fits in an infant carrier safely! I can definitely try this.

After going to the Caribbean a couple years ago i was thinking that we might need a mid day break.

I have tried that the past couple weekends. Just letting her go until she pass out, but it always ends up with an extremely cranky, crying toddler. I am not sure if it is because shes only 14 months now, and maybe that will change?

  4. We are taking my 18 month old on her first cruise. I know I am going to have to be very flexible since I am bringing a toddler. No big deal. My question is, how did you get your toddler to sleep on the beach? or did you just get into port early, head back for a nap later, and then after they woke up head back out? She will only sleep in a pack n play, crib, or car seat so I'm a little nervous about port days! We are not doing any excursions through the ship, rather just getting to a beach club on our own.

  5. Our first cruise we booked straight through carnival and we would get emails all the time. This time i went through a travel agent and i have not received an email since i booked. My travel agent said i should still be getting them and it must be an issue in my settings. I checked my settings and everything looks good. I called carnival and they said its because i went through a travel agent? Has anyone had experience with this? I'm worried i wont know when i get cheaper upgrades as the trip gets closer.

  6. Almost all cabs will have seat belts, despite what posters sometimes state in this forum. If the first cab doesn’t, simply decline and take the next one that does.

You can always prearrange a car if you’re more comfortable with that.

Okay thank you! If i do decide to prearrange do you know the best way to do so?

  7. My daughter will be 18 months old when we cruise in December. We are hoping to take a taxi in cozumel to the beach. We are 100% bringing her car seat. But my question is do i need to call a taxi company in advance to make sure there will be a taxi with seat belts?

    TIA!

  8. I was looking at parking garages at port of Galveston. Both the VIP cruise parking and the Port of Galveston garage are across from the terminal. Although neither will pull up on the map correctly are these next to each other and does anyone prefer one over the other?

    TIA!

  9. Hello! So we are wanting to cruise with our then 18 month of next December. Does anyone have any tips and tricks? I know about the blow up bath, and the umbrella stroller but does any one else have any advice? Also if you are going to save leave her at home please don't. We want to take her and it would mean more for us to go as a family! We went two years ago just the two of us, and we stayed in the room quite a bit and relaxed and just went out a couple nights, so that doesn't really bother us!
