  1. I don't know if streaming audio would work or not. Some radio stations stream audio. Perhaps the UCF flagship radio station will stream their audio of the game. You can probably download the radio's app and look for a "listen now" or some such on the app. I'm a Clemson fan and that's what I do if video is not available.

ESPN might have an audio version of the broadcast. Here's a link:

As a last resort have someone back home text you updates of the game.

What a great idea ... thank you

  2. Just off Epic yesterday ..... There were no college games on Saturday when conference championships were on. There were plenty that were not happy with the soccer, cricket and other sports showing instead. The ship was clearly primarily Americans and it is baffling to me that NCL does not feel its necessary to offer more choices.

I guess that answers my question ... lol ... sounds like the higher-ups are trying to pinch-pennies ... what a shame... or at least offer it paper-view so that they can make some $$$

  3. Is it true that Norwegian adjusted its contracts and decided that they will NO longer be showing college sporting evens on their on-board broadcast system?

I am asking being I was really hoping to watch some of the college football bowl games during our new year's cruise, BUT, I was told by a Norwegian cruise planner that he overheard a conversation in which college sports will no longer be shown.

If anyone has knowledge of this information, please let me know.

  4. Hi all,

I am surprising my husband with with a 7 Day New Year's Eve cruise on the EPIC as his Christmas gift. Well, little did I know that my husband's all-time-favorite college football team was going to make it to the the Georgia Bowl as the only undefeated team in college football (GO UCF !!!). Anyways, I know that if he misses the game, it will ruin his cruise experience (and mine - lol).

So I was wondering if anyone has experience with the internet package on the EPIC, and if the signal was strong enough to stream video. And if you did get decent video quality, were you at sea or were you in international waters? The reason I ask about the location is because we'll be at sea the day of the game.

I honestly hope that the game will be shown on board. However, someone told me recently that Norwegian is no longer showing ANY college sporting events (only professional sports). WHICH IS AN AWFUL BUSINESS DECISION in my option.

    Any help is appreciated.

  5. Thank you all for the reply. It look's like I'll be giving him an early Christmas present (so that he can mentally prepare to not watch the game). I feel awful (I planned this vacation in July), and to be perfectly honest, I would rather go to GA to watch the game too. This whole situation isn't even making me excited about the cruise (I know ... I'm crazy ... and obsessed with football as much as he it). But I'll have to NOT look at any TV's for 6 days until we get back to watch the game - that will be challenging - lol.

  6. Hi everyone,

My husband is obsessed with UCF football, and we just finished our season 12 - 0 !!!! Anyways, on Jan 1st, UCF will be playing Auburn in the Peach Bowl.

Does anyone know if the EPIC will be showing the college football games on Jan 1st? Otherwise, I know my husband will be heartbroken if he doesn't get to see his team play - haha.

    Any advise is appreciated.
