Thank you for the info. We have decided on sept 2019 I have booked the week with the least amount of moon light. If it happens awesome if not they I'm still in Alaska!

Thank you do you recommend any downtown that offer paid shuttles to the airport?

We are going to Alaska from Seattle next year and need some advice on hotels.
Are there any that offer shuttle service from downtown to the airport?
Are there any near the airport that have a shuttle to the port?
Thank you

In all of our 13 cruises to Alaska we've only seen the Northern lights once and that was about 2010. You have to be out on deck about 3am if they are going be visible.
My husband is a night owl. If anyone will see it he will.

There's not a good way to predict it and we are (probably) entering the solar minimum, so this summer, you probably won't see a lot of activity, no matter how far north you are.
We are going in 2019. Crossing fingers!

We are planning a cruise for September next year and were wondering if anyone has seen the northern lights from a ship.

I think the current one (Ready Set Sail) does (at least on some 2019 cruises).
I miss the cut off by one month.

Thanks for th info. I am booking for sept 2019 so most sales don't cover that far out.

I am looking to book a cruise to Alaska for sept 19. Do they run many sales or lower deposit specials? I have never cruised with HAL before (20 with other lines) so I am not familiar with how often they run sales.
Thank you in advance.

No, but Emerald Beach is open and has all amenities available: chairs, umbrellas, food, restrooms, etc. Pay for everything separately.
We were thinking of going to secret harbor. How does emerald compare? Is it closer to port?

Msc is different than us cruises. We had people complaining on the davina that they didn't have burgers and fries. In my world fresh mozzarella and pasta beat burgers any day. It definitely has a European vibe.
