I mean once you're off the ship. Does Cunard have any type of online store?
Thanks.

should have went to disney/epcot since we're staying overnight.
leave when the park closes and take uber back to ship.
That would've been a good idea, except both Disney and Epcot were sold out weeks in advance for the entire Thanksgiving week, including the Tues and Wed that NCL was in port. You would've have had to bought your Disneyworld tickets back in October. Same with upcoming Christmas week.

Interesting that RCL was supposed to stop at Port Canaveral on Tuesday the 23rd , the same day that NCL made the extra stop there. But RCL skipped it "due to weather." RCL then made an unscheduled stop on Friday there (at Port Canaveral) on the way back.

Thanks! I'll check them out.

Hey guys. I'm also on this and in Rome for 2 days before. How are you getting to port from Rome?

Very helpful, njhorseman. Thanks

Re walking: If your ship does leave at Pier 88 (e.g, NCL) and the 48th street entrance is open, do you still have to walk down to a main/common entrance to check in (and if so, what cross street would that be)? Or is something set up right by Pier 88? Thanks!

I'm also looking to rent for a day later this month. Can anyone suggest the best car rental place to use?
By best I mean closest or easiest to get to and from the cruise port (Norwegian). The ship is in from 1pm to 9pm, so I assume it will have to be an after hours return. I plan to drive to Daytona Beach and back.
Thanks.

NCL have tended to have a bigger gay group, the meeting place is usually a quieter bar, so not swamped with other passengers meeting for a pre-dinner drink etc. RCL & Celebrity tend to be half hearted, a meeting point in the main bar at 7pm, the tables are taken up by straight passengers so there’s no chance to get chatting to fellow LGBT guests. Probably more likely to meet up in the sauna than in the bar!
If they hold a meeting at a place where everyone else can go, how do you know which people are there for the LGBT get together? Do they designate a special section of the bar?

I don't mean official ship meetings, but suppose a passenger wanted to see if any one on board was interested in teaming to explore a port city or something like that? Like a "roll-call" serves on Cruise Critic here, but while aboard ship.

Hello everyone. Seeing who might be on board. Solo traveler. Thanks.

I have a question about "guaranteed" cabins. On the HAL site, if I book an inside guaranteed cabin for $1,000, it says I may be assigned any of the inside cabins, which range in price from $1,000 to $1,300. Does that mean if they assign me the $1,300 cabin, I will then have to pay $1,300?

Are there other ways to use the internet besides these plans? For example is there a room where you can use the ship's computers and pay for usage on hourly rate? Also, is there free wireless in the ports? Thanks.

Traveling solo on this 11-day cruise on Dec 27. In my 50's but this is my first cruise. Just saying hello and seeing who else might be on board or any comments. Thanks.
New port for NCL

Cabo Rojo is a brand new port right outside the city of Pedernales. It is a regular port, so no a tender. However, because it's new, there's not much at the actual port. Pedernales is only 20 minutes away, and it is worth visiting. Also, Bahia Las Aguila beach is 10 minutes away, which is considered the most beautiful beach in DR with wonderful restaurants and bars.
