I've been reading the comments on the port changes for Allure, and I really can't believe how upset people get. The cruise contract states that the itinerary can be changed at any time. People...we are going to be on a fantastic ship for 7 days.....not at work.....it's a VACATION...enjoy it!!

Wow! I can't believe how judgemental the majority of the responses to this thread are! Just some things to think about.....Just because the credit cards are maxed out, doesn't necessarily make the people irresponsible. There is a very good possibility that the cards may have been used for necessities or just to get through a tough time. Just because someone is filing bankruptcy also doesn't necessarily make them irresponsible or undeserving of a vacation. Who knows what their situation may be? This vacation may be a much needed time away from stresses. Why is it assumed that, just because they don't have credit cards that they can use, that they would not tip? That is a pretty harsh assumption. These people have been blessed with a child who loves them and wants them to have this vacation....quit judging them and let them enjoy their vacation...just like you get to.

I saw on the boards that you can get an internet plan for just surfing and not streaming. When I go to look at the plans, it's not listed. Where would I find it?

Thank you for your response!! To be sure, I called RCCI and the agent I spoke with said that as long as it has an expiration date and 3 digit number on the back it will be fine. It's a card issued by my bank.

I plan to use a pre-paid card for my onboard expenses. Has anyone else done this? Will there be an issue with using the pre-paid card as opposed to a credit card?

Thanks. That's what I thought...but just wanted to be sure. Guess we better book the excursions onboard. There are 6 of us...so want to be sure to get them together.

OK..this is probably going to be a stupid question, but I need to know before I actually book our shore excursions. Does RCCI actually charge the card on file when the excursions are booked, or when we get on board? Some of us are using cards that we need to load some money on and we haven't actually done it yet.:confused:

Have any of you had a balcony cabin adjacent to traveling companions and had the divider opened? If so, how open are they? Any pictures? There are 6 of us traveling on the Allure in September with 3 balcony cabins next to each other, and thought it would be really fun to have the balconies opened.

I have cruised several times, but never purchased the internet package. We are booked on the Allure of the Seas in September, and I am considering purchasing the package. My question is this...Do you have to purchase for all 7 days, or can you just purchase for individual days? That may sound crazy, but .... just wondering.

If you're sailing out of Ft Lauderdale, we ALWAYS stay at the Springhill Suites. If needed, they have a free shuttle from the hotel to the cruise port. Have a great cruise!!

My husband and I were on the Grand Princess on 9/11/01. It was really a surreal experience.

Thanks so much. It certainly isn't a deal breaker if they dont.....but it would be fun. First time on RCCI, but have cruised many times on other lines - mostly Princess. So excited!!
